RENTERS BEWARE: SECURITY DEPOSIT NOT RETURNED!!

The owner became *very* unresponsive right after we stayed in the house and HAS NOT RETURNED OUR SECURITY DEPOSIT TO DATE! It has been over 2 weeks since we vacated the house. We left the house in exactly the same condition as we found it, and I asked the owner for the return of our deposit the same day that we departed.
The house itself was nice enough, particularly the living room area with the fireplace. Beds were comfortable, showers were good, and everything was clean. The whole house is carpeted, though, and 3 people in our party had allergies, one severe. The location of the house is pretty convenient as it's on a shuttle route to the mountain.
One issue during our stay was that there was a leak in the game room, which is in the basement area. The leak itself was fixed the next day, but because the carpet got wet, the whole area was unusable due to a very unpleasant musty/moldy smell. Initially, the owner offered to refund us 1 night's fee as compensation, but as soon as we left the house, he seemed to have changed his mind.
The biggest problem is the owner's failure to return the security deposit as promised, as well as the total lack of responsiveness as soon as we were out of the house.
I still hope to have a positive resolution to this issue shortly; will update the review accordingly.
