BEAUTIFUL WOODLEY PARK: METRO/SHOPS/ZOO/SAFE! PATIO/PKG/PET

The property was exactly as advertised. The owner was friendly but not obtrusive and was a fount of information about the neighborhood. It took my wife and I about 1 hour to feel at home in the area. The apartment is nicely decorated and created a very pleasant ambiance. There are many good restaurants in the immediate neighborhood as well as a small grocery store and a CVS Pharmacy for some minor needs and we never had a bad meal when we went out. It was always nice to return after a long day of pounding the DC pavement sightseeing.

My husband and two older children stayed here during the second week of August 2012 and had a great visit. The property was accurately described and the pictures are great representations. It was clean and the kitchen had all the necessities required to prepare a meal. What was truly outstanding was the location. The National Zoo is a four block walk and we visited frequently. Unbeknownst to many, the zoo itself opens very early to foot traffic and an early morning stroll without the crowds is fantastic. (The building exhibits open at 10 a.m.) The proximately to the Metro (Red Line) was also a plus, as are the many shops and restaurants. The National Cathedral is also a fifteen minute walk. Only downside was the air conditioning. It was in the low 90's during our stay and the smallish AC unit struggled to keep the place comfortable. However, by keeping the window shades down and using a provided fan to move the air around, we managed ok. We would certainly stay here again. The owner was also kind enough to let us stay a couple hours after checkout because of our late afternoon departure out of Reagan National.

My sisters and I enjoyed our visit to DC. We loved the location and felt very safe going places. We took a taxi to and back from Regan. Rode the metro, which was easy. We had never done it before. Woodley Park was beautiful. The place was clean and we had the comforts of home. The owner is VERY helpful. Hopefully, I will bring my husband the next time. Thank you.
