The land gently slopes to a pebbly beach, where you can easily slide the 2 person kayak (INCLUDED) into the bay. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs and 1 master on the main level. Lots of windows make this cottage sunny with great views of Rockland¹s working waterfront and the Camden Hills. There is a wood-burning stove to make it cozy at night

Take a walk on the beach and collect from endless sea glass and shells that cover the shore. Perfect Place to Stay

The Owl's Head cottage has all the charm we could have hoped for. Doug and Leah could make a living designing interiors for vacation properties. I felt comfortable the minute I walked in the house. The antiques and furnishings seem to be hand-picked from the many boutiques and antique shops in the surrounding area. Attention to detail is amazing. The relaxing atmosphere continues in the garden. Of course the view is great. The harbor is beautiful. We enjoyed walking the beach in search of seaglass and kayaking (one is provided) right from the house. There are great places to hike and swim in the surrounding area as well.

The local restaurants are great from the pizza place (with great icecream) to Primos. For Sushi we loved Sazuki.

The customer service was great too. All who stay in the cottage will know the Johnson's appreciate your business. Fresh flowers and a bottle of wine greeted us. I would most definitely stay here again and will tell my friends about it as well.

A relaxing beautiful week

We just spent the most relaxing week at this wonderful cottage in Owl's Head Maine. The cottage is so charming. The art and decor is perfect and cozy. Everything about this place is wonderful including the second step from the top of the stairs. We spent a relaxing time reading, kayaking, swimming at the quarry near by. It is very close to Rockland where we were able to go in for dinner (all wonderful) and shop. We had both rainy and sunny days and the view from the front bedroom at sunrise is amazing. I know we will be visiting this cottage again and again.

Charming Cottage, Great Location and Killer Views!

We had a wonderful week at the Harborview Cottage in Owls Head. The house exceeded our expectations and the photos on the web site do not do it justice. The cottage is comfortable, authentic/vintage and, decorated with antiques and art, totally charming and exactly what we were looking for. It was perfect for the 5 of us. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck watching the boats move about in the harbor. Most of all we enjoyed walking on the beach at low tide, collecting sea glass and shells. We collected so much sea glass! The kayak was an unexpected bonus and we made good use of it. The location was great, being so close to Rockland. There are so many great restaurants and things to do in the area. We hope to return again next summer. Thanks!

Great Place with a Great View of Rockland Harbor

We arrived to a beautiful cottage that had an amazing deck and interior. The place was spotless and very quaint. A very quiet spot with beautiful views of Rockland and a great beach that has tons of sea glass and shells. The location is also great because it's so close to Rockland and Camden and only 2 hours from Bar Harbor. The owners gave us great suggestions for restaurants and antique stores. The pictures don't do this place justice.
