Kiawah Island House Rental Photos and Description
House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 8 comfortably)
This 3 bedroom beautiful home (if we may say so ourselves!) has a great history of satisfied guests (see comments below) and is a fantastic value. We've been renting it to families like yours since 2007 and think we have a pretty good handle on what you want and expect in a vacation rental. You want it clean, comfortable, convenient, and with no surprises (except good ones!). As our reviews attest, we have lots of satisfied renter families. We hope your family will be one of them!
Is it nice? Don't take our word for it. Listen to what our guests have to say. The Siemers from Indiana said 'Best Place, Best House, Best Beach, Best Vacation EVER!' Julie from North Carolina said her family has come to Kiawah for 20 years and this was the 'Best house we have EVER stayed at in Kiawah!' Please read the other guest comments below (note that additional comments from our guest book are just above the photos below. Yes, they are legit and verbatim remarks!). Make your vacation memorable this year by spending it in the luxury of this beautiful home!
Our completely remodeled house is located on Cougar Point Golf Course (rated 4.5 Stars by Golf Digest magazine). A short walk and you are at the wide ocean beach. Want to bike? That's even faster and we even supply four touring bikes AND two child bike trailer AND a two child jogging stroller!
Wide plank pine flooring throughout the first floor remind you of that old time beach cottage feel but the amenities are far from old timey. Fully equipped kitchen boasts granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and opens to a screened in deck for memorable family meals. The living room's large HDTV with digital cable and DVD make for great family viewing. Need to do a little work while you're here? Shame on you! But, no problem. We've got high speed WI-FI.
Truly a family friendly escape, trails to the marsh for wildlife viewing are steps away along with a viewing tower for watching spectacular sunsets over the marsh.
The house's location at west beach makes it ideal for convenient access to shopping, Night Heron recreational park, and west beach tennis courts as well as the five resort golf courses. Even with that accessibility, the house remains tucked away from traffic and noise so you and your family can enjoy your privacy. You'll especially enjoy lounging on the back deck with your view of the golf course. Grilling out is a pleasure with both a gas grill and smoker (both prohibited at villas).
Our house is cared for by an established local property management firm and the convenience and peace of mind of their availability is included in your rental fee.
Sorry, but we do not offer pool access. Your alternative is to rent a house with its own pool or to rent through the Kiawah Island Resort. Based upon a review of 2014 Kiawah Resort rates, the cheapest rate through the resort for a 3 Bedroom house with pool access is $1800 HIGHER than our $2,200.00. We think that difference demonstrates the exceptional value of our property, especially when you consider that the second largest pool in the world (the Atlantic Ocean) is just down the street! If your children insist on a pool, take them to Splash Zone Water Park on James Island (about 30 minutes away) for a day. They'll have a blast, you'll save a bundle, win-win!
One piece of advice: Please note that the weekly prices below already include all taxes and fees! That's an important consideration when you compare properties and rates.

About The Owner
We looked at a LOT of houses all over Kiawah before we found this location. We love the proximity to the beach right down the street and the fact that our children can access bike paths to anywhere on the island without ever having to ride on a street. We also like our location in West Beach because we are only about 1.5 miles in from the main gate so the location is very convenient to shopping and restaurants. Having rented in other areas on Kiawah, we realize how inconvenient it is to have to travel across the island and beyond just to pick up a stick of butter or something else you need. The short drive over to Freshfields is great. With the new bike path to Freshfields Village, a bike trip over for ice cream and shopping has become a great new experience!
The Owner purchased this house in 2005
Why The Owner chose Kiawah Island
After visiting Kiawah Island for several years in connection with my wife's business seminars, we realized that our North Carolina beach property could not compare to this location. We were lucky enough to find this property for sale and poured a lot of effort into making it our own. We don't think you will find this to be a typical 'rental property' and hope you will love it as much as we do.
What makes this house unique
Don't worry about bringing lots of bikes because we supply 4 touring bikes and a child/beach chair trailer and even a jogging stroller which is great for transporting your little ones. We've also got boogie boards, skim boards, and beach chairs that fit in the trailer. The beach crossover is just four blocks away. We also love to climb up the steps of the watch tower just steps away from the house, have a cocktail and watch the sun set over the marsh and the beautiful birds that fly into the tops of the trees adjacent to the tower. With our house's location on the 7th fairway of Cougar Point Golf Course, we often walk over to the 6th green and watch golfers hit into that par three green. You can even watch them from the watch tower! Fun for young and old alike.
Guestbook comments from the owner
Good morning Joe – I wanted to let you know that we had an absolute fabulous time.
The home was just wonderful with all the comforts of home. What a view from the tower! We walked many evenings and enjoyed the spectacular sunset.
The weather was SUPERB. The ocean breeze was strong and effective as it hid the effects of the UVA rays until of course you came home.
The outdoor shower was probably one of my favorite things to look forward to at the end of the day. Amazing.
We went kayaking with Tidal Trails and saw wild dolphins. This happened on the way out of the marsh and on the return trip back into the marsh. So while kayaking we saw two dolphins at two different times frolicking in the water.
We were all just awestruck at the sight.
Lots of bicycling and two different trips, young fawns (deer) were within 50 feet or so of us.
Everyone had a wonderful time and we hope to make it back. This vacation will be hard to beat.
Thank you Thank you for sharing your home with us.
