I am a single professional woman, working at an economic think tank. Hospitality is a virtue, and so I love renting out my apartment when I travel. I have met the most interesting people - couples traveling to DC for their daughter's graduation, coming in for college reunions, first-time visitors from across the country. All my guests have been very pleased with the lovely decor, accessibility, cleanliness, and location of the place. I hope that you will also come and enjoy it, and I will be most happy to make sure you have a truly pleasant stay.
The Owner purchased this apartment in 2006
The apartment is like a home away from home - fully furnished kitchen, lovely decor, and with DVD/VCR/Bluray, spotless wireless, and an extensive world media collection. This location is close to Dupont Circle, and easily accessible to all the major museums, memorials, and other DC hot spots.
My husband and I stayed here for six nights and we couldn’t have been more pleased. The apartment is perfect for getting to see the sites around the National Mall, while experiencing the local atmosphere. We were able to use public transportation with the provided loadable bus passes, and when that wasn’t feasible, we just hailed a cab from the front door of the building.
The charming apartment was perfect, from the view (you CAN see the Washington monument), and having the amenities of restaurants, grocery, and coffee shops a short two block walk away.
Deborah was helpful with everything! She was very quick to respond when I had a question. Overall, the experience for a first time VRBO was great! We highly recommend this VRBO if you’re looking for a stay in Washington, D.C.!
My husband and I visited D.C. for four days, and stayed in this well appointed home. Two of the most important issues to me when traveling are: Comfortable bed - This one is THE most cozy and comfy bed and the pillows are deceivingly designed for a wonderful rest: Lights in the home for reading - Deborah's condo has plenty of reading lights and comfy areas to relax with a good book or plan your next day's adventures. Secure and cozy, I can't help but feel like I was staying at my sisters or a good friends house. Though clean as a pin, it is far from the sterile cold atmosphere of a hotel.
If you enjoy convenience, comfort, security and experiencing your vacation (or business trip) location, this is the place to stay. Deborah see's to every detail.
My friend and I had a great stay in DC in this clean condo. There is easy access to public transit, though we tended to walk down 18th street every day to get back to the sites.
Handy to have transit cards that were provided for easy reload, nice pool, close to Safeway and drug store, extra sheets if you want to make up a couch instead of sharing the bed and sometimes cookies in the lobby…
Deborah is very quick to respond to all questions or comments and eager to make your stay comfortable. As advertised and much better than staying at a hotel!
My husband and I spent four days at Deborah's lovely apartment and it was very comfortable and homey. It's very spacious with a great view, and on a vibrant street with wonderful restaurants in easy walking distance. We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely contact Deborah again for any future trips to D.C. A great place to stay!
My goddaughter and I stayed in this apartment for four days and had a wonderful time. The location is perfect - an eclectic neighborhood in Adams Morgan with lots of shops, grocery stores and restaurants within easy walking distance. We dined around the globe - Ethiopian, Peruvian, Indian, Greek, as well as a terrific diner and great coffee shops, to name a few of the myriad choices - and we were in a location central to all of the great sites, museums and attractions Washington DC has to offer.
Deborah's apartment is charming and comfortable and has all of the amenities necessary for a short-term or longer-term stay. There is a fitness center in the building and a pool on the roof, and Deborah herself is accommodating and helpful.
We drove to DC and parked on the street without a problem, although we had to move the car every so often so as not to get a ticket. Were I to do it again, I would take the train as we never used the car other than to drive to and from Philadelphia. We took the Metro everywhere, or walked.
I would rent this apartment again in a heartbeat.
My sister & I enjoyed staying at this apartment for 9 days in May when we went to visit my daughter. It was very comfortable, especially the bed and the shower after a long day of being tourists. Many great places to eat within walking distance...it's a great location. We especially enjoyed eating outside at the falafel place and talking to people from all over the world with whom we shared a table.
The apartment is full of great books and music and felt like home, only more interesting! The owner is very responsive and was quick to answer any questions and make sure we were taken care of.
We had to have a car to help my daughter move but if I return I would prefer to leave the car at home. Public transportation is close-by and easy to use after a bit of practice. I requested and received a neighborhood parking pass which helped immensely but don't expect to be able to park near-by unless you get lucky. No parking tickets or towing though!
I would recommend this rental to anyone and it was nice to have such a great hostess.
