Hermosa beach world-class surfing: Hermosa Beach, where this home is located, is a world-class surfing beach that hosts international competitions. Since the waves can be enormous, surfers from all over the world seek out this beach everyday. Even if you don't surf, it is very entertaining to watch the waves and surfers. There are several 'Beach Boy' style bars and restaurants where you can relax and watch the surfers and enjoy the sunset.

Wildlife: Wildlife can be discovered everywhere, even around our houses. Iguanas and geckos can be seen all around. For those on the adventuresome side, crocodile safaris and also available. If you stop by the Crocodile bridge (on your way to Jaco from San Jose) you can see 15-20 crocodiles in the river. There is a Turtle Preserve on the south end of our beach (Playa Hermosa). During September to November, the turtles come and lay their eggs, volunteers come help move the eggs to a safe place. The volunteers take care of the eggs until they hatch. We were able to help release newly hatched turtles into the ocean. Manuel-Antonio National Park is only 1 hour away.

Canopy Tour: We highly recommend for you to experience a guided canopy tour! You are hooked up to a cable with the safety of a harness. As you travel along the zip line, you go from one tree platform to the next. It is quite a thrill! Teri, our hospitality person, can even get you discounted tickets on one of the best tours only 5 minutes from the house.
