Cape May cottage is newly renovated and located to the rear of the main house. Located at 715 Columbia, There is a beautiful view of the colorful Victorians that Cape May is famous for. The features include a living room with pull out sofa , TV with cable and DVD, antique furniture, eat in kitchen, spacious full bath with stall shower, ceiling fan and A/C. The second floor has a king size bed (that can be converted into 2 twins) and an entrance to a tree top deck with table, chairs and lounge. The cottage deck has a peek of the ocean when the trees are not full. The cottage is child friendly. The location is ideal, short 3 min walk to Cape May's beach,s restaurants, shops and attractions. It is so easy to access everything for a perfect vacation, yet the cottage is quiet and peaceful too. There is access to gas grills, outside enclosed H/C water showers and bike rack.

  • We have had winter tenants and are willing to rent for winter months starting November through April, special 3 and 4 night packages ranging from $300-390 for 3 people and $380-$500 for 4.

A Cozy and Comfortable Retreat

The Inlet Cottage is truly a little escape from hectic everyday life -- a cozy and comfortable retreat -- and, a great location -- no car necessary, you can walk to everything!

Romantic cottage in a great location

We loved our stay in this cottage. The private upstairs deck is the perfect place for coctails before dinner, and the outdoor showers (which are available to all the guests) are a definite plus after a day at the beach. The location is perfect--park the car and leave it! Walk to the many nearby restaurants and plays.
Sally is very friendly and does her best to accommodate her guests in every way possible. Hope this cottage is available the next time we go to Cape May.

Refreshing shore get away

I have stayed at the Ashley Rose for 10 days the last 2 summers and have already booked my reservation for this coming year. The Ashley Rose is situated conveniently within a few short blocks of the beach and the center of town, but enough distance away to be quiet and relaxing. The rooms are always clean, comfortable and well stocked. The amenities are not luxurious, but exactly what you want from a beach vacation: clean outdoor showers, communal grills, patio or deck for relaxing at breakfast or with a post-beach drink! Sally has always been readily available and accomodating and I highly recommend this rental.

Clean and Convenient

Clean, cozy, cute, and convenient! The Ashley Rose Cottage was perfect for my small family. The accommodations were well kept, and the short stroll to the ocean manageable, even with my three year old. We enjoyed the sweet decor, outdoor showers, the grill, and the deck to full advantage. The central location - between the walking mall and the boardwalk - was perfect.

This place is a dump!!

My husband and I rented from Sally last summer (2008) and spent the first day of our vacation desperately trying to find a different place to stay. Sally misrepresented this property when I spoke to her on the phone. She told us that the "cottage" was recently remodeled and had beautiful gardens in the backyard. It was a dump!! The furniture in the backyard was rusted out and the gardens were overgrown. I hope that by writing this review, I can save at least one couple from the unfortunate experience we had.
Owner's Response: I feel badly that this tenant was not happy. I had about 100 tenants at this property last year and everyone was pleased. We manage the rental ourselves because we knew we could be more responsive to tenant needs. We are available to help out, even with directions, reprogramming remotes and providing information about our town. I know that individuals have their own perspectives and I am sensitive to them. These tenants arrived early and we given access to their unit. We welcomed them to inspect the unit for their satisfaction. We checked in with them to make sure they were happy. Everything was fine on, Saturday, the check in day. They called the following late morning and said they were not happy and they were leaving. We offered to remedy their concerns, by replacing the outside furniture. The table was a beach table with a new cloth and resin chairs. They declined our attempts to remedy their concerns with the property. We offered them a larger, more expensive unit at a newer house we own as a replacement and they declined. We made every attempt to replace their reservation and found someone to take the end of their week. We reimbursed them a portion of their rent. The property is recently renovated with new kitchen, bathroom, carpet, drywall, paint, furniture, ac and more. We didn't promise a garden because the unit has a deck and patio, no yard. .
