What makes this house unique

Watching the eagles and ospreys. Looking at the snow covered mountains of Glacier National Park in the distance, yet you are only 5 minutes from a 24 hour grocery, restaurants, and shopping. Don't miss this once-in-a-lifetime experience! Works to explore Glacier Park, Whitefish, Big Fork, Columbia Falls and beyond! ideal for families with all the creature comforts in the house and nearby. Water park and miniature golf are within 3 miles, rafting, fishing right out the back gate, and 12 miles to Glacier Park.

Guestbook comments from the manager

The gathering of this group is always an adventureous tale to be told! So to sum it up - the "Dream'n" part of your homes' name lived up to it wonderfully!

Hikes; Strawberry Lake, Avalanche Lake, Columbia Mtn. Trip to Waterton/Prince of Wales, the vista of St Mary's Lake; all amazing and worth the "narrow drive". Unfortunately, we didn't hike..the wind was gusting 40 mph and our hair was standing on edge.

The best night experience was the :free" lightning show on the back deck. Then the weather front arrived and brought a watering of the flowers and wind to swing the beautiful flower baskets to sleep...along with all our crew/1

Thanks for providing a comfortable, relaxing environment. Our group is from varied parts of Tennessee/Georgia/and the Outback in Australia...the change in weather without humidity was a pleasantry for all!

Great experience

  • 4 of 5

We were a party of 8 senior adults and our stay was very enjoyable. We did most of our own cooking in the kitchen and ate our meals on the very nice deck. Nice and quiet and access to the property was easy. The entire area is beautiful with plenty of activities. The beds were comfortable and each bedroom had a large closet. Big pantry for storing your food. Very nice.

great location, house in need of upkeep

  • 2 of 5

This house's location is terrific to see many Glacier sights. It has four good sized bedrooms with queen beds and two full baths. It was generally clean. It has river access though the stairway to the river was in disrepair and thus we were warned off using it including a signed agreement to not use it. There was a sign at the top of the stairs warning to "use at your own risk".

Of concern is the condition of the interior of the house. It is marketed as sleeping 8 which it does easily but there are only six dining room table chairs. Let's get two more chairs! There is a very nice deck with only a small table seating 4; let's get a bigger table. The air conditioner that was needed in August worked poorly and a screen door for the front and deck doors would have helped ventilation and made the house much more comfortable in the evening. The wooden blinds need repair in most rooms of the house; the kitchen nonstick pans were poor in quality and need to be replaced; table place settings for 8 need to be provided; washcloths for 8 are needed; perhaps a box fan for each bedroom would decrease the need for air conditioning; and WiFi is a reasonable thing to expect for this house.

These are all creature comforts that I expect in a rental house in this price range.

The management company was easy to communicate with throughout the rental process.

Owner's Response: There are some items to address here. At the time these guests were here the new steps down to the riverside deck were still under construction, thus the sign asking people to be responsible for themselves while being completed. They are now completed and a lovely addition to the entire experience. I am sorry there was disappointment in their experience, and would have preferred to be told this during their stay so I could have done something for them. In 7 years of owning and renting this property, I have never heard some of these things. I have a great deal of pride of ownership, and encourage you to read ALL the reviews rather than just the one in making your decision! Some of the information seems to have been mixed up here, as there are and always have been 6 chairs for the dining room and 2 bar stools, there is no air conditioning in the house nor is it needed (gets into the 40's or low 50's every night), there are fans in most of the bedroom closets and a huge ceiling fan in the great room. As for seating on the deck(s) , In addition to the four chairs around the table there are 4 other chairs on the deck. The pots and pans are being replaced for this summer season, and there are place settings for at least 8 people in the kitchen with back up dishes to match in the china cabinet. Blinds have been repaired or replaced as needed. Each year between winter and summer seasons, I personally go through and replace needed items, and I will do so this year the end of May. I can assure you, it is a fabulous choice for your family vacation!

We stay 8/10-16/2013 and enjoyed the home especially the patio and Flathead river views. The house had everything we needed and proximity to Glacier National Park was great. The Red Bus tour of Glacier was great and we chose to see it from the air via a helicopter ride.

A great place to stay with good value

The house is a very comfortable space. The back porch was perfect for relaxing and watching the water and wildlife. All the amenties required for a vacation are included which saved on packing space. The location of the house is convient for trips to Glacier National Park. I would recommend this house to anyone considering a trip to Glacier.

Colorado Family of four

This home is AMAZING. My husband, 2 children and I stayed a week, and wish we had had more time. Everything about the property was even better that the owner described. The back porch overlooks the river, and is the perfect place for morning coffee or a drink after a long hike. The bedrooms are all comfy, and the master is separate from the others, and also overlooks the river.

The location of the house is really convenient, just a short drive to the West Glacier entrance, but far enough away to be quiet and private. What a great place to stay. I would highly recommend this property.

Scenic Location

  • 5 of 5

Great location for trips to Glacier National Park, Kalispell, Whitefish and Bigfork . We enjoyed the wonderful accommodations complete with fully stocked kitchen, laundry room, good selection of books, comfy beds and huge patio to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. We loved walking to the Huckleberry store up the street to have huckleberry pancakes in the morning and plug in our laptops (store has WiFi, house does not). One thing to note: if you plan on fly fishing outside the National Park, where it's free, you will need to buy a fishing license (approx. $35 for 2 days) and you cannot keep any cutthroat trout.
