3500 square-feet, 4-bedrooms, 2-baths in a modern house designed by a renowned architect! 25 acres of picturesque (Land Trust) privacy, 3/4-acre pond (12-20' deep), quiet & incredible beauty, xc ski/hike/bike from outside the house, with hundreds of contiguous acres to roam. 45 minutes to Mad River and Sugarbush ski areas; 1 hour from Stowe or Killington; 45 minutes to Adirondacks; 35 minutes to Burlington; 15 minutes to Middlebury; excellent restaurants within 10 minutes. Modern kitchen, washer/dryer, living/dining area, wood-burning fireplace, 2-car indoor garage, DISH TV, wi-fi internet, HDTVs, DVDs. Fitness area--elliptical, bench, some weights, separate TV. Notes:
Indoor garage for 2 cars. Additional exterior parking for another two or three cars, too. Sunken fire pit for late afternoon/early evening fires. Firewood provided. 3/4-acre pond on property (12-20 feet deep). 2 new HDTVs: 46' (and Blu-Ray DVD) in living area; 36' in finished basement (and a DVD and VHS player, too). Allergy sufferers: Please contact me if you are are allergic to residual dog hair. No young children (under the age of 8 or so)--the house is NOT childproof and may pose a danger to young kids.

Great vacation rental

I stayed in the property in October and found it to be really comfortable with fantastic views of the Adirondacks. It is in a quiet, rural setting, yet is close to some good restaurants in Vergennes.
Recommended for:  Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
Owner's Response: My thanks to K-Row from Austin, TX! (She is very gracious and was a very respectful and considerate tenant, too!)

I believe that she also enjoyed some rather nice bits of nature--both around the house & property, and on some of her hikes and biking tours, too.

I might add that in addition to some good restaurants in Vergennes, that if you add another 10 minutes to one's drive in either direction that there are another 8+ fine dining establishments!

Great Get Away

This is the second time that we have rented this property for vacation. This is a wonderful house, well appointed, well equipped, peaceful and quiet, and close to great shops and restaurants. The property is beautiful and the vegetable garden is spectacular. The owner is accessible and so pleasant to deal with. Our two dogs loved it as well.

Look forward to returning.

*Beautiful house with beautiful views
*Great kitchen - comes equipped with stocked pantry, All Clad cookware and even herbs from the owner's garden
*Dining table was perfect for large parties (even more than 10 people)
*Loft-like master bedroom with its own double-sink bathroom simply lovely
*Other bedrooms were smaller but still well-appointed and stylish
*Owner is super responsive
