In Vermont, this 3500 square-foot, 4-bedroom, 2-bath modern house, designed by a renowned architect, is now available for rental on a weekend, weekly, monthly or longer-term basis. 25 acres of amazing (Land Trust) privacy, quiet & incredible beauty, xc ski/hike from outside the house, with hundreds of contiguous acres to ski and roam too! Only 40 minutes from Mad River and Sugarbush ski areas; 1 hour from Stowe or Killington; 1 1/4 hours from Lake Placid; 35 minutes to Burlington; 15 minutes to Middlebury; 40 minutes from Burlington International Airport; excellent ethnic restaurants within 10 minutes. Biking, kayaking, hiking. Modern kitchen, washer/dryer, living/dining area, wood-burning fireplace, 2-car indoor garage, satellite TV. Private driveway plowed during the winter; firewood provided; propane gas heat (forced hot air) and cook stove. (AC available in master bedroom, only).

Great vacation rental

I stayed in the property in October and found it to be really comfortable with fantastic views of the Adirondacks. It is in a quiet, rural setting, yet is close to some good restaurants in Vergennes.
Owner's Response: My thanks to K-Row from Austin, TX! (She is very gracious and was a very respectful and considerate tenant, too!)

I believe that she also enjoyed some rather nice bits of nature--both around the house & property, and on some of her hikes and biking tours, too.

I might add that in addition to some good restaurants in Vergennes, that if you add another 10 minutes to one's drive in either direction that there are another 8+ fine dining establishments!
