Relax and enjoy one of Beech Hill Ponds earlier cabins, with its cozy rustic charm and great lake views. It is surrounded by tall pine trees and just steps from the ponds clear water. There is so much to do on the edge of this nearly 5 mile long, 1 mile wide pond. You can go fishing for Bass, Lake Trout, Salmon, swimming, paddling, boating or simply taking in the sights and sounds of pond life. There is a fire pit for toasting marshmallows. This is a great spot for water skiing, tubing, sailing and windsurfing with a boat launch nearby. Less than an hour from Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, 30 minutes from Bangor and 20 minutes from Ellsworth.

Beech Hill Pond offers so many activities to keep you occupied even it you never leave the pond. Swimming, boating, fishing, paddling, sunbathing, stargazing. If your looking for more, you are less than an hour from beautiful Acadia National Park with all its hiking, biking and sightseeing. Bar Harbor and its surrounding communities for their shopping and dinning. You'll find yourself about 30 minutes from Bangor where you can shop malls, dine in great restaurants. Ellsworth is only a 20 minute drive where you will find shopping, dinning, golfing, movie theaters, LL Bean Outlet and more.

Great family getaway!

We had such a terrific time staying at this cottage. It was on a large, beautiful lake, great for kayaking. The cottage itself had everything we needed and was so cozy. We traveled to Bar Harbor and shopped and hiked there, too. My husband and 4 boys had a great mini vacation here. We highly recommend it.

A nice retreat

We had a great week at Beech Hill. We enjoyed using the kayaks and swimming out to the float, and we did lots of grilling on the excellent gas grill provided.

The camp is on a quiet section of the lake, with lots of space between neighbors, so it felt very private. It was very clean and even had a new bathroom. We used the woodstove every night while we roasted marshmallows, listened to the Red Sox on the radio, read our books, or watched a movie on the VCR/DVD player.

The kitchen had all the basic tools needed to make a meal, including skewers. And, luckily, the kitchen table was a big enough surface for a jigsaw puzzle, for the days it rained!

The owners were very friendly and ready to help. They inflated our swim raft with their air pump, and lent us their one-person canoe. It is less than a 10 minute drive to the general store, which was convenient for beer, snacks, etc.

We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back!

Great cottage down east!

We spent a very nice week on Beech Hill Pond. The water was clean, not too cold. The swimming area was great for our young kids, not mucky, wade-in-able. They spent hours in the lake.

The cottage was very clean and comfortable. I was happy to find the camp free of spiders, quite a feat in the woods of Maine. There were camps and a camping area very close to us, but the camp felt private and secluded. The lake was also surprisingly quiet, not too many motor boats. There were 2 kayaks and the owners brought over a canoe for us to use when we asked for one. The road leading to the camp road is 2 miles long which adds up to an extremely hilly 4 mile run out and back.

The owners were very nice and responsive. The directions to the camp were a little hard to interpret, but we Google Mapped the directions and found it with out any trouble,

We would go again.
