Beautiful 20 year old 4 bedroom log cabin perched on a mountain side with spectacular views of the surrounding hillside and valley below. The cabins' fully glassed southern exposure affords these grand views from the comfort of the living room while snuggled next to the glass doored wood stove. With approximately 100 private acres of property you can hike, camp and hunt to your hearts delight. Trout stream adjacent to the property's edge and local Lake St. Catherine just a few minutes away offers all the water sport activities sought. Skiing at Killington and Okemo and dining and shopping in Manchester and Rutland are just a short drive away. Golf just down the road. There are no nude beaches nearby but who needs them when you could bare all, inside and out, in this totally secluded cabin.

Recent renovation of the lower level now provides a great game room with pool table, ping pong, dart boards and entertainment center complete with 60' surround sound HD-TV and Stereo System.

The Cabin: If you're looking for peace and serenity then this is it. Beautiful 12 year old 4 bedroom log cabin perched on a mountain side with spectacular views of the surrounding hillside and valley below. The cabins' fully glassed southern exposure affords these grand views from the comfort of the living room while snuggled next to the glass doored wood stove. The loft area just above provides a great place to sit and enjoy the view while soaking up the sun. The master suite, with it's own private bath, is handsome and roomy. There are two additional bedrooms on the main level. The lower level walkout offers a game room to play and have fun.

Come relax and enjoy yourself in this classic piece of Vermont.

Amenities: Fully equipped with all the amenities you need, i.e. full kitchen with cookware, etc., TV and Stereo (many movies in stock), games and more. Just bring your personal belongings and have a great time.

With approximately 100 private acres of property you can hike, camp and hunt to your hearts delight. It's steep terrain, so be prepared.

Enjoy the pool table, ping pong, and darts on those rainy days or long winter nights while listening to music on the cranking stereo system. Or watch movies on the 60' HD-TV with surround sound system.

Activities: Nice trout stream adjacent to our property at the bottom of the hill, just a short walk. The Battenkill River just a short drive. Boating and other water activities just 5 minutes away at Lake St. Catherine. Just a short drive for some of Vermont's best skiing at Killington, Okemo or even Stratton. Manchester with its' great dining and outlet shopping center is about 25 minutes to the south. Rutland is an equal distance to the north.

Amazing, middle-of-nowhere retreat.

Lovely property. Truly in the middle of nowhere (even the road leading up to the property will mean you'll need more than just a town car). You can't see another building, let alone another person. Lovely. Plus a great kitchen if you like cooking.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Great Cabin!

Our crew stay a week and loved it. Everything was as advertised, from the views to the cleanliness, to the privacy. I would recommend to any family or groups who want a secluded cabin in the beautiful Vermont mountains.
You won't find a better cabin in the area for the price and space.
We really enjoyed it.

Perfect home for our "guys weekend" getaway

Our group of seven guys had an excellent weekend in this home. Layout was great with plenty of room for everyone including at mealtimes when we all gathered around the table. The house itself was comfortable and the location was great for us; well off the beaten path but just a quick trip if we needed anything at the store.

The driveway was as described but nobody had issues getting up or down without any four-wheel drive vehicles. It was muddy with very little snow though; it's easy to see how a snow storm would make it difficult.

The biggest plus - the activities! Between movies on the surround-sound system, pool, ping-pong, darts, shooting skeet, and playing "disc golf" through the woods above the house there was always something to do. We prepared all meals at the house and found the kitchen to be adequately equipped although one of the guys did bring his favorite roasting pan and chef's knife.

All in all it was a terrific weekend and we will definitely be looking to stay here again next year as it suited our needs perfectly.

Perfect Get Away Cabin

The Smith's home is the perfect place to get away from the "hurry up" city lifestyle. The house is spacious clean and very well kept. It is tucked away among the trees with spectacular views of the mountains. It is far enough away from the main towns but close enough to venture there if willing. Perfect location to the ski resorts as well, about an hour to Killington.

Whether your looking to just lounge all day by the fire or do some outdoor adventures this is definitely the house to stay in! I will definitely be booking this home again for some skiing next winter!

Excellent for the family

Great cabin for families. We had two families with 4 younger children (4-8 years) and rented during the coldest weekend in January. Needless-to-say, we stayed inside more than we thought. This cabin was perfect because it had a nice downstairs game room with a pool table and kid-friendly games. This allowed us adults to relax upstairs by the woodburning stove to enjoy a few minuted of piece and quiet.

When we did venture out, the location is ideal. Not too close to any one town, but close enought to restaurants and shops that driving was not an issue.

We will be looking to stay again in the fall so that we can take advantage of the deck and fire pit.
