The Beach Bungalow lies on the island of Vieques within the parish of Villa Borinquen. This property is easily located five minutes from Isabella II on road 200 (North Shore Road). One of the greatest assets lies in our unique location in respect to the Largest National Park in the Caribbean system. Over 16,000 acres of National Park rests 100 yard to our East revealing many exotic tropical birds and aquatic life. If you enjoy strolling and exploring beach;a person can walk nearly 10 miles of beach which is entirely uninhabited and untouched by human development. Be sure to bring your camera you won't believe your eyes!!!

  • The Beach Bungalow rests on a tropical secluded acre, surround by palms, sea grapes, and almond trees. This beach front property is known to be at one of the most comfortable location on Vieques due to the tropical trade winds and beautiful views. From your large balcony your eyes will be filled with some of the most incredible vistas of the neighboring Islands of Culebra and St. Thomas.

    Check-In: 3 pm to 7 pm. Airport and Ferry pick-up service available during these hours for an additional fee. For a minimal fee of $2-$5 per person a 'Carros Publicos' can be arranged for for your pick-up and drop off .

Charming beach house in quiet location

We stayed in this property over the Christmas holiday, and we will definitely be back again! The house was very comfortable, with a great view of the secluded beach. There's a full kitchen if you'd like to prepare your meals, or there are many restaurants just a few minutes away. The location is very quiet - there are very few houses nearby, so at night you can really hear the coqui frogs. The balcony of the beach house is screened, so we were able to sleep with the doors open to the ocean breezes without worrying about mosquitos getting in. Nearly every morning there were wild horses grazing in the yard, which we loved. Bring DVD's to watch in the evening if you don't speak Spanish, since the local stations are not in English. Pack light, as there is a washer & dryer & plenty of towels.
There's fantastic snorkeling off of many of Vieques beaches, and a trip to the bioluminescent bay is a must!! The island is very family-oriented, so this is a great place for familes with young children. Many of the beaches have shallow, calm water that is perfect for the kids to play in. This was our best vacation yet, and I highly recommend this property!

A Perfect Vacation

My family (kids aged 7 and 9) spent a wonderful week in this charming bungalow. It's quiet and secluded and yet just up the road from the grocery, the ferry, and everything you need in Isabel II. The beach (and there is nothing but a fence and a few palm trees between you and the water) is beautiful, deserted, and with a small reef near offshore, a great swimming beach for even the littlest kids. The house itself is very clean, with a well-equipped kitchen, a nice, big bathroom, and a washer and dryer. The bungalow is also well decorated and I loved sleeping with the waterside doors opened wide -- you can basically open up one whole side of the house to the offshore breeze. The owner and property manager are both very nice and accommodating. We're returning in February 2010 and can't wait!

Perfect vacation

We stayed at the Beach House for our spring vacation and it was just perfect. The rental process was very easy and the owner John is extremely nice, informative and helpful.
John gave us several referrals which made our stay much easier. For instance, taxi, car rental - a must to experience the island and the beautiful beaches- and the biolumnescent bay tour which was the highlight of our trip.
The beach in front of the house is calm and great for snorkling. My husband also went fishing there every second he could get in. The house was clean and we loved having the washing machine and dryer. We have been all over the Caribbean and found Vieques to be especially friendly, easy to maneuver, very reasonable prices at the grocery store and so many places to explore.
We drank coffee on the beach in the morning and had
beverages at night in the screened in porch.
As a bonus we brought home 2 dogs from the local shelter up the street. They are learning to speak English.
We loved it so much we want to buy property there but in the meantime will definitely go back to John's as soon as possible.

We have rented a lot of beach homes and The Beach Bungalow was perfect. If you have never been to this island you must go and if you are into simple pleasures and total relaxation this is it. The property manager Teddy is wonderful and goes way beyond his duties to make sure you have what you need to have a great vacation. The house has everything you need. The opposite of big-city chaos

We stayed in the Beach Bungalow for one week in mid-December, and during the entire week, ran into only one person (who had 6 dogs) on the beach in front of the home. Renting a car was a real plus to explore and get around (groceries, other beaches, food...). The property manager (Teddy) was amazingly nice and helpful. We had no need for air conditioning -- the breezes and the screened in porch made the house very comfy.
