Photos and Description of the Alligator Point vacation house rental
House, 2 Bedrooms + Den, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 6)

Spectacular sunrises can be viewed from the screened or open deck each morning while you enjoy coffee. Actually there are great views from just about every window and location on site. Our house is very private and joins a twenty acre nature preserve abundant with wildlife.

The Bay is thirty feet in front of our house and great for watersports, fishing, and boating. We have a small sand beach there, great for children or to tie up your boat if you bring one (fishing is great here too). The Gulf main beach is a block away with beautiful white sand beaches, great for surf fishing or just relaxing and taking in the sun and view.

Our kitchen is fully equipped with a table for four and a bar for two. There is a master bedroom with queen bed and a loft bedroom with two double beds. Down below on the lower covered patio you will find a outdoor sink, outdoor shower picnic tables and a comfortable swing where you can continue to view the beautiful Bay.

We have added a paddle boat that seats 5 people for our guest use. Have fun exploring the bay and waterways near our home, launch it from our back yard. Great fun for kids and adults.

Happy as a Lark!

I have to say that my husband and sons traval each year during the summer and we love the coast! This house was the perfect retreat for us! You had every thing you could want right there.. Beach, fishing, relaxation! Amazing views. My family had such a nice time we stayed two extra nights!! We found the house to be very clean and cozey! This beach house is perfect for a family to stay! Our sons loved sleeping in the loft! I dont think the pictures show how accurate this home is. It has much more space that we had thought. The owners were there if we would have needed anything and we found them to be very honest and friendly. We stayed 9 days and only wish we had to time to stay longer. It was hard to leave. We are already planing our next trip there in the fall and one for next summer! Thanks to the Wards this home is well worth the time and money to stay.

This home is not elegant, but it is clean and comfortable. It needs a little outside maintence, but the view of the bay is beautiful. Our grandsons loved swimming and fishing in the bay. We enjoyed our long weekend there. We would go again. The owner was helpful and pleasant to work with.

Sad to Say Goodbye

Lost My Heart on Alligator Point
Sad to say goodbye. This was one of the best family vacations we every had... no crowds, beautiful weather and a great beach house. Nothing fancy but we liked it that way. The little private beach was wonderful for our grandchildren to play on and to hunt crabs at night, a delightful activity that the 3 year old loved. I lilked being in the middle of nowhere but able to go in either direction to discover little towns, great shops and out of the way places to eat... Spring Creek is a must for the fried mullet. It took me back to my childhood. Owner was great, when we lost hot water he was there early next morning to fix the hot water heater. Everything worked and was clean.
We are already planning our next trip to Viola House!

Excellent Quiet, Secluded, Bay Front Retreat

I went with a small older group and we found this cabin to be very affordable for the season and enjoyed our stay. The amenities were clean and comfortable. The views are excellent, but the quietness was the most peaceful part of our visit. You can fish, go crabbing, go the beach, or just hang out underneath the house and watch the world go by. Our only regret is that we did not stay longer!

Buyer beware!!!

Buyer beware!!!!This property is in need of lots of cleaning and bug control. Beds and pillows very dirty, Expired food in the kitchen. Lots of cobwebs from top to bottom. Broken chairs and broken clothes dryer. Roach bugs and spiders. Unable to see through glass doors and windows due to broken seals. I have many more pictures than those provided by the owner that will tell the whole story and I would like to make these available to VRBO.
Owner's Response: WE WERE SCAMMED BY THESE GUESTS. We received a check from them for rent and deposit only a day before their arrival. The check was BAD but by the time we found out the check was no good it was to late, they enjoyed a free vacation at our lovely little beach house. So afterward we began calling these people trying to collect our money but they lied some more and refused to make good on the check. Finally we gave up and turned the account over to a collection company at which time the guests promptly posted all these lies as their review. Doesnt it seem odd they waited over a month to post such a negative review? We have reported this incident to VRBO and we are told it is being investigated.
Please judge our home by all the other HONEST reviews and not by these. Our home isnt the Ritz Carlton but it is clean and comfortable and the best bargain in the area for a home that is directly on the water. We own this home primarily for our own use, not as a money making investment. We are clean people and would not expect any of our guests to stay anywhere we wouldnt stay. We strive to offer affordable beach home rental rates along with a little extra income for us to help pay the extreme costs associated with owning a Florida coastal property. If any guests should ever have a problem with the home not being clean we would take care of it immediately. Our house keeper lives only a block away and she cleans many vacation homes in the area. Thank you for considering our side of the story and we hope to have you as a guest at our home someday. Sincerely
