Ocean View Condo, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 2-6)

Completely remodeled, this unit has a new kitchen open on both ends with granite counters, cherry cabinets, and brand new appliances. New bathrooms, tile floors and new carpeting gives you a fresh feel. Our unit is maintained by our private cleaning person and is always immaculate and clean. Upstairs loft features queen bed and full bathroom. Downstairs bedroom has two twins. Another full bath on the main level, with queen sofa bed in living room. New furniture was installed in 2005, with new entertainment center and 40 inch flat screen tv in 2010, making this unit one of the most desirable at Kamaole Sands. This Kitchen is fully equipped, from bbg utensils to rice cooker, and utensils and pots are checked every 6 months and replaced as needed. You can be assured that you will have everything that you need during your stay. Our goal is to make you feel as if you are home.

Great beach (Kamaole 3) across the street for whale watching, snorkeling, swimming, and boogie boards. Great for young children. One block from the Kihei boat harbor for all ocean activities.

Kamaole Sands is a well maintained complex and the setting is lush tropical. Elevator zips you up to the fourth floor from the parking lot. Kihei is the drier side of the island, rain is rare. Views of the ocean and the pool from this top story unit in building 6 are the reason you go to Hawaii.

About The Owner

We own a construction company in the Lake Tahoe area, which allows us to come over twice a year and keep the unit upgraded and refreshed. Living and working in another resort environment, we understand the importance of keeping our unit well maintained. We also are distributors for Coreban Standup Paddleboards, which we really enjoy doing while here on Maui.

The Owner purchased this condo in 1999

After we lived on Maui for 3 years, we decided on Kamaole Sands because of the concrete construction and the excellent upkeep of the grounds, plus the proximity to local shopping and the beaches.

Absolutely amazing stay. Family vacation of a lifetime!

No one word can sum up our recent stay at Paul and Lynn's condo. The place was tastefully decorated in true island style, impeccably clean, and well-equipped for days at the beach or time at the pool. Paul and Lynn were so easy to work with and went out of their way to ensure our family was given the time and space to relax and reconnect.

We can't wait to come back and enjoy this Maui paradise.

Honeymoon was unbelievable...going back this summer!!

I must confess that my wife and stayed in Paul and Lynn's condo 10 years ago for our honeymoon and only now am I getting around to writing the review. But before you dismiss this as old news, hear me out. The place was FANTASTIC! Peek-a-boo view of the ocean, across the street from the beach and quiet location far from the main street (South Kihei Rd.). And that's just the location.

The inside is impeccable with attention to detail in both the decor, and the craftsmanship. It is evident that plenty of TLC was put into the unit; a pattern, as evidenced from reading other reviews, that continues to this day. The kitchen is both beautiful and functional, while the bedrooms are inviting and comfortable. The open floor plan of the unit makes it great for entertaining, while the location affords privacy and relaxation if that is what you are in need of.

In short, I strongly recommend you stay here if you get the chance. I personally know Paul and Lynn and know how much they love this place. We enjoyed our stay so much, that we are going back this summer with our children. Can't wait to create new, lasting memories in Maui.

AMAZING PLACE TO STAY

Upon completion of treatment for breast cancer 5 years ago Paul and Lynn graciously offered their condo to my husband and me for a much needed vacation. Since that first visit we have returned to Maui and stayed in this Condo every year for the past 5 years. The unit is well supplied and spotless in appearance and cleanliness. The location is great and affords visitors easy access to many activities and locations. Lynn and Paul are gracious land lords and go out of their way to make sure that each guests experience is amazing. After each stay we have been contacted to make sure that our stay was everything that we had hoped it would be, and we were also encouraged to give feedback regarding anything we thought needed attention. This is truly a very special place to stay. One where we have made so many special memories. Mahalo Lynn and Paul.

Lots of Problems

This unit presents well. We found the unit to be fairly clean, however upon arriving and moving the twin beds togather as instructed, we found dirty mens underwear and kleenex's under the bed. Not a good first impression. The elevator to the unit was out of order for the entire 10 days we stayed. We found the Lanai door and screen not lockable, and did not feel secure to leave as construction was being done on the neighbor lanai and scaffolding was right up next to our's. The owners did inform us that work was being done in the complex, however made no compensation to our inconvenience. We have stayed at Kamaole Sands on 4 other occasions and never experienced any problems in the past. Will stay at Kamaole Sands again, but not in this unit.

Owner's Response: We take complaints seriously and have addressed these concerns. Unfortunately we were given last minute notice by the property manager concerning the construction work. Since their stay there has been no other construction work on our unit. The cleaning person responsible for that clean no longer works for us. The screen door was repaired and the lock is now functional. I would encourage you to read the other reviews, we try our best to give you the best possible vacation, and I believe that we deliver that but on rare occasions, situations do arise out of our control. We visit the unit every 6 months to make any repairs needed and do a deep clean. We replace pots and pans when scratched, linen when it becomes worn, towels if they become frayed, and throw rugs if they become worn. Lynn is a professional cleaner and to have a complaint about the cleanliness was upsetting and will not happen again. Our sincere apologies to Sharon and if she ever wanted to stay here again we would certainly give her a discounted rate.

We rented 3 units at Kam Sands and all of them were wonderful. This unit was very well furnished with everything we needed for a wonderful vacation. It was within walking distance of the beach, restaurants and shops. The boogie boards, beach towels, coolers, chairs and umbrellas were all used just about everyday. The condo was quiet and sitting on the lanai watching sunsets was so peaceful. We've been to Maui several times and we will be looking at these condos next time we come. In addition to the great pool area suitable for both families and couples, Kamaole Sands offers a fitness center, tennis courts, shave ice/food stand, and a representative through which you can book a variety of tours and attractions on the island.

Right across the street is Kamaole Beach III, one of the more desirable beaches in Kihei. Perfect for snorkeling, swimming, or just laying on the beach, Kamaole III is one of our favorite beaches in Kihei. We are also situated across the street from the Kihei Boat ramp, from which Scuba Dive and Snorkeling charters depart daily to Molikini or nearby coastal areas.

If you have a vehicle and wish to venture out a bit further, Wailea has some wonderful beaches along with a beautiful walking path. Start at Ulua Beach and head towards the Grand Wailea. You won't be disappointed! Ulua beach is also a great spot for snorkeling if interested.
