Best of Both Worlds!!

The Pine Shadows Chalet sits atop a peak within a pine forest of peaceful views. The home is serene and private and yet you are only a couple miles from I-26 for easy access to modern conveniences. It feels remote, but you not. We enjoyed relaxing by the fire. The home has an impressive collection of literature and music. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a fabulous dinner. The most gracious owner Karen was helpful and responsive before and during our stay. Highly recommended.

Such a friendly house

Mom from MD Columbia, MD
Review Submitted: July 27, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
A beautiful house with a secluded feel but only a short drive from grocery stores and the interstate. The kitchen is suitable for cooking enthusiasts and the bookshelves are stocked with an eclectic collection in case you forget a book. The house is well maintained and the owner responsive to calls. The homey atmosphere and personal decorating made us feel as if we were house sitting for friends.

By the way the loft bedroom was much more private than the word loft implies.

This was our first visit to the area,we will visit again and stay here if possible,

Excellent choice for a restful, quiet vacation. The owner was very helpful and friendly. The house is well equipped with more than we ever imagined. The computer is fast fast fast! {my husband had to check his e-bay.} If you are looking for a place that has everything you need, this is it!
Very charming!

Beautiful Pet Friendly Chalet

Malee St. Petersburg, FL
Review Submitted: September 16, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2008
My husband, our toy poodle, and I spent a delightful month at Pine Shadows Chalet. The home is lovely (well maintained and clean), with every need anticipated and met. We enjoyed the privacy, as well as the proximity to the nearby towns of Saluda and Tryon. It is a short distance to Hendersonville, Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We enjoyed the furnishings, the handwork and the art. We recommend the home, the view, and the owner in her willingness to share this vacation home and to make the stay a happy one. (When the owner says the computer is slow, believe her. It was wonderful to have computer access, but it was not fast!. All else is wonderful.)
