The furnishings have been designed to truly give the feeling of being away from it all in the white mtns. The 3000 sq ft mtn top chalet is perfect for 2 families or a larger group featuring 4 BRs, 3 full BAs. Upstairs: great room with mtn views, large fireplace and TV/DVD, breakfast bar for 5, dining area for 10, a huge master suite with mtn views, private bath and king bed, laundry/mudroom and front and rear decks with mountain views. Downstairs: a separate family room with TV/DVD and sofa, private sauna, bunk room with 4 full size beds, 2 large BR's with queen beds and full bath. Saco River offers tubing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing and relaxing by the river, and Mt. Washington auto road/Cog railway.

Location and furnishings: If you are looking to treat your group to something extraordinary, this is the place. The Chalet sits near the top of Linderhof resort mountain with spectacular mountain views from all windows in the house so you really feel like your away in the mountains. It is tastefully equipped with all new furnishings and was completely renovated in 2005. It is much more than the typical vanilla rental/condo you will find with dated furniture and cramped sleeping arrangements with sleeper sofas and lofts. This luxurious chalet can accommodate a larger group or 2 families without crowding or bumping into each other. The layout allows adults to relax by the fire, at the breakfast bar or watch a DVD while the kids or other group hangs out in the lower family room with TV/DVD or in the separate game/ rec room equipped with games, toys, Nintendo and another TV/DVD. This spaciousness also helps when stuck inside on bad weather days or in the morning so early risers do not disturb the whole house

Location Details: Our chalet is very centrally located within 2 miles of 8 - 10 excellent fine dining and family restaurants and pubs with real NH character and ambiance. 3-4 of the pubs regularly have live music on weekends and several spots have jazz brunch on Sundays. The country store at the end of the street also makes excellent pizza and takeout sandwiches. Story Land 2 miles. 5 minutes from Attitash ski area, 8 minutes to Cranmore and Wildcat ski areas, 25 minutes to Bretton Woods, 50 minutes to Sunday River. 2 miles from Jackson Village; Nestlenook Farm, x country skiing, ice skating, golf, sleigh rides, night life and fine dining. 10 minutes to Echo lake state park which has lifeguards and a nice sandy beach for children.

Country Club, Pool, Tennis and Fire Pit: Includes access to the Linderhof Country club outdoor pool, clubhouse with snack bar and drinks/liquor, tennis court, volleyball court and playground. Pool opens memorial day and closes labor day. The backyard of the chalet also features a large circular stone patio with Adirondack chairs overlooking the mountains. It is the perfect spot in the evening after a day of activities to watch the sun set over the mountains.

Spacious Ski house

Great house. Very spacious. Really useful list of local attractions/ski slopes provided by owner who was also very accessible by e-mail beforehand. Well situated to drive to a number of local mountains, Bretton Woods and Wildcat seem to offer the best kids programs but Attitash had a good daycare and 1/2 hr ski program (our daughter is 3 1/2). The sligh ride at Nestlenook Farm was fun too.
We stayed in and cooked and ate around the big table most evenings-cooking facilities very good, lacking only a cheese grater so we bought them one! Great kids facilities in the house-VCR, DVDs, family room, kids play area etc etc. We plan to return next year!

What a beautiful house!

My family of 4 saw this home on Cyberrentals and thought it looked very comfortable and nice, but sometimes you never know what you are getting when you rent a home (we have rented several times). However, this home lives up to its photos! My family stayed there Columbus Day weekend 2009 and truly enjoyed being in this beautiful home. We loved the Great Room--it is large and has a lot of very comfortable leather seating. The woodburning fireplace is gorgeous and huge. It was wonderful to sit and relax every evening by the fire. The Master bedroom on the main level is huge (and even has an extra twin bed in it!) plus our girls really liked staying downstairs in the two cute (Queen bed) bedrooms. We didn't even use the other cute bedroom with the 4 beds in it! It is a lot of space! My girls' favorite part about the house was the Rec Room with the pool table and foosball table. They had a blast playing in there with their dad! I really liked the breakfast bar on the kitchen island and the large dining table off the Great Room. We ended up playing Clue and card games there and could still watch tv or enjoy the fireplace.
The Bartlett/North Conway area as a whole was great! It is one of my favorite destinations we've visited. There are so many good restaurants--we never had a bad meal the entire time! Our favorites were going for cider donuts, muffins and hot apple cider at White Mountain Cider Company, our breakfast at Glen Junction (loved the pumpkin pancakes!) and dinner at The Red Fox Grill. There are so many activities in the area too! We went shopping at the outlet mall, and took a spectacular horseback ride at Black Mountain Stables. We tried to get to the big Fryburge Fair during a break in our schedule but ran into a lot of traffic and ended up turning around. That was our only disappointment the entire weekend. Overall, we loved the house and loved the area. We would definitely stay here again when we come back to this area not only for the beauty and comfort of this home, but also for the pleasure we had in renting from the family. They are extremely nice and were so helpful in giving recommendations of restaurants and activities. Plus, we received our full deposit check just a week after our return. They made renting this home a pleasure!

A Wonderful Getaway for a Family

What's left to say about this wonderful getaway? If you enjoy the peacefulness of the mountains, this chalet is perfect. My husband, daughter, and I spent a week in this gorgeous home. My husband and I have not been to the White Mountains in 20 years and this was the perfect place to stay. We'd get up in the morning and have coffee on the deck and just listen to nature. We took different day trips to the attractions like the White Mountain Auto Road, the Flume, Lost River, the Basin, Clark's Trading Post, Glen Falls, etc. There are so many different places within the area to see. The chalet itself was a home away from home. It was very cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed alot of quality family time during our stay there whether it was just sitting on the decks, playing a game of pool, or just sitting around and playing board games.We would definitely love to go back to this home again. The house has everything you need. We truly fell in love with this place and its location. It's great for a family vacation, a family reunion, a romantic getaway - it's a very warm and inviting home. The feeling you get when you first walk into this home is amazing. When you walk into the home, you most definitely leave all your troubles behind. It's just a feeling beyond belief. We can't thank the owners enough for letting us enjoy the experience of renting this home for a week. We would like to rent this home again next year around the same time we did this year. If you're looking for a perfect place to stay in the White Mountains, this is the place to stay. We wish we could have stayed for a longer time. We can't say enough about the owners. They are very friendly and very helpful. The information packet that was sent with the contract was very informative listing places to go whether you were there during the summer or the winter. We definitely took home a lot of fond memories of staying in such a wonderful place, plus all the pictures we took. We had an amazing vacation. The chalet is very spacious and decorated beautifully. The only things we needed to bring were sheets and food. It was truly amazing to wake up to the peacefulness and to sit on the front deck to watch the sun come up in the morning over the mountain and then in the evening to sit on the back deck and watch the sun set over another mountain. There are not enough words to describe what a wonderful place this chalet is. In closing, I would just like to say "Thank You" once again.
