Relaxing four season log home on beautiful Lake Eden. Centrally located just 20 miles more or less to the best skiing in the East: Stowe, Jay Peak and Smuggler's Notch. Enjoy 300' of waterfront. Paddle a canoe, take a swim or try some fishing. There are seasonal activities galore, or you can opt to just relax and curl up with a good book next to a roaring fire. New England at it's finest! Ideal for one or two families or several couples.

It is only twenty miles, more or less, to 3 major ski areas and golfing. Shopping, antiquing, biking, arts and fine dining in nearby Stowe. Visit Ben and Jerry's for a factory tour, and sample one of their newest creations. Take a leisurely ride into Vermont's largest city, Burlington, for great food, shopping, festivals, Lake Champlain, the Echo Center, or see a minor league baseball game. The possibilities are endless!

Tax Rate 9.0%

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency (US Dollar) unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

Notes

  • $1200-$2500/week. $250-500/night
  • Non-holiday weekend rates:
    $300/night, minimum 2 nights.
    250/night for 3 nights
    225/night for 4 nights
    200/night for 5-7

    3 day holiday weekends: $1200
    not including xmas/new years
    xmas/New years: $500/night, 300 each additional night

    We try to have 2 separate rentals in this time period.
  • A 50% (non-refundable) deposit is required to confirm your reservation.

    Balance due and $200 security deposit are due 2 weeks prior to arrival. Please put security deposit on a separate check. This will be refunded if everything checks out within 1-2 weeks of your stay.

    Check in after 5pm. Check out 10am. Late checkout may be available during weekend rentals.
    9% Vermont lodging tax is additional..

    Pets dogs are considered. We expect owners to clean up after them inside and outside. We also request no pets on furniture and beds. $100/pet/weekend and $150/pet/week. Thank you.

    Credit card accepted with 3% additional fee. Recommend to only use to get deposit in quickly to hold your reservation.

Family Summer Vacation

Everything about our vacation here was fabulous!!!! Julie and Peter are so pleasant to deal with! The location is ideal, the place was clean and had everything you needed for a perfect stay. There was four adults and 3 children (aged 5, 9 and 2) in our party ... and every single one of us had an absolute blast. The swimming area was perfect for our 5 year old to learn to swim. Our only disappointment was that we did not book for a second week!!!! We would highly recommend this place for families with young children who are looking to get away from it all.

Great Summer Getaway

My family vacationed at this beautiful Lake House in August 2011. Peter & Julie rented their home to us on such short notice and were very pleasant to deal with. The home is exactly as you see in the pictures. Far enough from attractions to enjoy the peace and quiet of the lake, but close enough to enjoy all the surrounding area has to offer. Best wishes to Peter & Julie on their home away from home.

We were very impressed with the house. Went up there for a ski trip with some friends and stayed here. It was very clean and well kept. 3 bathrooms was a big plus. Will definitely stay here again!

Superb...May 2010

This property is better than the photos would suggest. It is extremely roomy, very well equipped, and a joy to spend time at. It really has the feel of "home."

It is situated on what must be a couple of lakefront acres, in an area that is only lightly populated with other dwellings. Overall, an incredible location.

We were delighted to find high quality king sized beds, hand held showers, and numerous other thoughtful touches.

We hope to return often, and will have a very short list of things we must remember to bring along. A Jenn-Air range, a wonderful fireplace, comfortable seating, dual TV's with "DishTV" satellite service; it's all there.

No 'wi-fi' but somehow we got by without it.

Tracfone service and other cell phone service was fine.

An A+++ rating from us.

My daughter and I love this house. My dog loves this house as well. We consider it our home away from home. We have been at least 4 times so far and plan on many more visits. My daughter chose this as her place to celebrate her 17th birthday.
