'MY CABIN IN THE MOUNTAINS' can be your personal Smoky Mountain getaway, only 2 hours from Atlanta, yet a world away in the beautiful Northern GA/Western NC Mountains. It's perfect for a couple needing to get away; or for a family needing a private mountain retreat. The cabin is convenient to many outdoor activities: hiking, white-water rafting, tubing, water skiing, rock hounding. And there is the shopping and antiquing opportunities offered by Dillard, Highlands, Franklin, and Dillsboro.

NOTE: To insure the health and comfort of all our future guests, we are not unable to accommodate smokers or pets.

What's nearby?: Tallulah Gorge State Park, Foxfire Museum, Black Rock Mountain State Park, Moccasin Creek State Park, Great Smokey Mountains National Park, numerous waterfalls and hiking trails, white water rafting on the Nantahala River or the Chattooga River, great golf at Kingwood Resort and Sky Valley Resort, and much more. Highlands NC (many shops and boutiques, great restaurants), Franklin NC (movie theatre, The Fun Factory with arcades, batting cages, bowling, go carts & more, family restaurants), Dillard (antique shops, the Dillard House restaurant).

Where we are: My Cabin in the Mountains is nestled on the side of Hannah Mountain, a mile north of Dillard GA, right over the Georgia/North Carolina state line, ½ mile off of four-lane 441. An easy 2 hour drive from Atlanta, 1 1/2 hr. drive from Asheville, four hours west of Charlotte.

Your Hosts/Owners: We live just down the road from the cabin and will meet you when you arrive. We are always available and nearby to make sure your vacation is enjoyable and worry-free.

All I can say, "simply relaxing". To anyone looking for a great place to stay and enjoy the area around Dillard, this is the place to be. Great host, super nice people! Everything you need for your stay is provided, even down to the napkins (which we used a lot of).

A Little Bit of Heaven

This was the perfect place to recharge our battery. It was immaculate and cozy. You could tell lots of love and attention went into decorating to make it say "welcome". Our hosts even gave us tomatoes from their garden when we arrived and they were delicious. We will certainly return and refer our friends and family. Thank you Elams for allowing us the use of your cabin.
