This modern riverfront cottage in the northern Adirondacks has a screened porch and wood burning fireplace, deck off the second floor and patio by the water. It is close to conveniences yet quiet and peaceful. You will enjoy fishing, canoeing, swimming, and nearby northern Adirondack lakes and towns. World class snow skiing is available nearby and it is close to five colleges and universities.

Nearest Beach: beach at 1 Miles

This cottage is located in northern New York. It is a beautiful area within one and a half hours of Lake Placid, Saranac Lake and Ottawa, Canada. There are many hiking trails, lakes and rivers which offer boating, fishing and swimming. Nearby Saranac Lake has wonderful summer theater and Lake Placid has world class skiing.

This is a friendly, peaceful area. There is the opportunity for quiet relaxation as well as numerous outdoor activities. We love the area and purchased this cottage as a retirement home. We hope someday to live there year round. Within an hour and a half of Ottawa Canada and Lake Placid New York.

As good as it sounds

My sisters and I and my young niece and nephew spent 3 wonderful early summer nights here. We felt at home immediately. The house is very nice and the beds are very comfortable. The setting by the river is lovely. We enjoyed sitting on the deck by the river and when the mosquitos became active after dark we moved to the screened in porch. Very convenient location. Nice and quiet. Recommend without hesitation. We will be back.

This was the perfect place for me. All I needed was R&R and thats what I got. The lake was absolutely beautiful, the area was totally calm and serene. If R&R is all you are looking for this was perfect. If you want a little activity also, there is not much to do in the area. My family were bored sitting around so we drove around for a while and found nothing to do.

This is a gem of a place and we wish we owned it. We were lucky enough to find it last year and even though it rained a lot we still enjoyed it immensely. We are renting it again this year and cannot wait. My husband thought he would miss watching T.V but overall he didn't. I love nature and watching the deers, rabbits, chipmunks and assorted birds was really thrilling for me. A great place.
