Great Weekend Getaway

  • 5 of 5
This November I took my first trip to the Adirondacks, and had a fantastic time. I stayed at the Steinmetz lodge, nestled in a private, forested area. The lodge has a spacious, open floor plan on the main floor with a large kitchen, dining area, and living room area. Windows line the walls with beautiful views of the outdoors. The house has a cozy ambiance with it’s fireplace, personal touches, old fashioned decor, and spacious porch.

I plan to stay at the Steinmetz Lodge for my next trip to the Adirondacks, and have
recommended it to friends who are planning a trip there. The owners are easy to work with, and the price is very reasonable.

A slice of heaven on earth!

  • 5 of 5
I had the extreme pleasure of using the house over winter break with my family of 4 and another couple. The kids were in love with the play room. I could hardly drag them away from the pool table!!

The house was so comfortable and inviting. It was very clean so I was happy to cook breakfast and diner. Everything I need was right there.

The location of the house is great. Very easy to find and easy to get to. The view out the window is beautiful. you see water as well as a great deck. ( I am already planning my return in the summer to sit there with a cool one!)

I took a walk onto Paradox which is just a couple of minutes (5) out of the door. The vistas were breath taking!

I can't say enough good things! I would highly recomend the lodge to anyone wanting a clean, comfy get away!!

honeymoon

  • 5 of 5
We honeymooned at this cabin the week of July 17th, 2010. The cabin was extremely well equipped with all of the comforts of home. The décor is welcoming and fitting for a home in the Adirondacks. It is very spacious and has a huge great room and game room downstairs, complete with a pool table, dart board, and bar! It was clean and the cabin and grounds well maintained. We made much use of the beautiful wrap around deck and waterfront fire pit. The supplied canoe and row boat were great fun to use paddling around the inlet/outlet and bays. We had many of our out of town guests from the wedding join us (children and adults), we had ample room to host BBQ’s and overnight guests. We made use of the community beach and appreciated the short walk down the road and supplied Adirondack chairs. It was nice to meet some of the other residents who gave us and our company some great recommendations of places to go and things to do in town. The town of Schroon Lake is just up the road and has everything one would need. This was a great home for entertaining large and small groups of all ages, would definitely return.

Girls Weekend

  • 5 of 5
We rented this property last March for a Girls weekend. We stayed there from Thursday to Sunday. There were 8 of us. The property was clean and well maintained. It was spacious and well equipped. We cooked all our meals there and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. We were so pleased with it, we have decided to make it an annual tradition. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone. It is easy to get to from the Northway and it is close to town if you need anything.

WE LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!

  • 5 of 5
This will be the fifth year that my family and I have rented this house over Memorial Day weekend. We absolutely love it up there! The house is so cozy and nicely appointed. There is fun for everyone....fishing on the dock, swimming at the beach, pool, darts and poker for the adults after the kiddies are tucked in. 3 bathrooms is a really nice amenity, especially with children in tow. The 4 bedrooms are all nicely furnished and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. It is always very clean upon our arrival. The deck overlooking the lake is perfect for relaxing and reading a good book. The owners are extremely courteous and helpful. My husband and I actually bought a lake house of our own after staying at this lodge for 2 years in a row. We wanted our own little piece of heaven. BUT....we still rent this house every year because it is such a special place to us and because our sons and nephews enjoy it SO much!!!! Some people think we are crazy to do so because we have our own place, but we would have it no other way. We love it here that much!!!! It has become a family tradition.
