A two-story wall of glass provides uninterrupted water views and divides the great room of this well-appointed Contemporary Cape from its 25 foot deck. Nestled against a hill of pines and surrounded by meticulously kept perennial gardens, this home is the definition of peace and tranquility. The warm bay-side beach is steps away, as is a launch for your boat or kayak. The ocean cliffs are five minutes by bike. And the lovely village of Wellfleet, chock-full of galleries and restaurants, is five minutes by car. Stay home to cook, the kitchen is fully equipped and the gas grill is excellent. Take a nap, the beds are incredibly comfortable and the hammock is in the shade. Light a fire if the night is cool, and take a whirlpool bath. Watch the ever-changing light as the sun sets, then gaze at the stars in the crystal clear sky.

This home is in an area of South Wellfleet called Pleasant Point, which is a long pine grove that juts out into Wellfleet Harbor. It is very near a bird sanctuary, so there are many species present. It is also adjacent to the National Seashore and the white cliffs over the Atlantic are only minutes away. We are known especially as a great location for windsurfing and surfing, sail boating and kayaks, hiking and biking. Many tell us that they settle into the quiet of Pleasant Point, and rarely leave the area. When they do, there is plenty to do. Wellfleet Village has scores of art galleries and Provincetown is only 20 minutes away.

My family and I were pleasantly surprised to find this home exactly as described. It was close enough to the beaches/ponds/center to be accessible to everything, and yet far enough away to get out of the hustle of the tourist crowds. The house was perfect, with a great deck, hammock, and a view to capture a beautiful sunrise each morning.
I would recommend this house to anyone (as long as there is still an open week for us to rent it again next summer!).
