Our home in the Katama area of Edgartown provides the comforts of home while perfectly located in close proximity to the charming downtown district and South Beach. No need to drive, it’s close enough to bike to South Beach or town via the back roads or bike path.

Surrounded by woods on ¾ of an acre, our home offers attractive accommodations in a quiet, private setting. Perfect for families, couples and friends you will enjoy all the comforts of home. Our house features 3 bedrooms, 2 baths with many modern amenities including: high-speed cable internet access, cable TV, 4 bikes and a gas grill on the outside deck. The kitchen is fully equipped with a breakfast bar for 3. Fresh linens and beach towels are included. Lounge on the deck or in the hammock, play a lawn game or move to the basement for a pool or air hockey match. Behind the house are bike paths and the entrance to Edgartown Great Pond is a 15 minute walk.

Our home in the Katama region of Edgartown provides the comforts of home while perfectly located in close proximity to the charming downtown district and South Beach. No need to drive, it’s close enough to bike via the back roads or the Herring Creek bike path. The Edgartown Great Pond is close by and perfect for launching a small boat or kayak. Hop in your car and you can fish, swim, crab, boat, golf all within a 15 minute ride.

Bike down to the Katama Airfield to have breakfast or lunch while watching vintage prop planes come and go on a grass field. Both the Katama General Store, great for fresh scones and coffee, and Morning Glory Farm, know for fresh baked goods and island grown produce, are a 15 minute bike ride away. Edgartown Village is also close, offering shops, restaraunts and night life. Everything from groceries, laundry, post office and liquor store are all located within a 10 minute car ride.

  • Enjoy GREAT RATES in JUNE and September
  • Beautiful shoulder season June and September 2012, $1800/week, minimum 3 days
    Peak season July and Auguts 2011, $2850/week
    House is fully equipped with clean linens, towels and beach towels
    Ferry tickets available for purchase
  • To secure your reservation of a week or more, a deposit of $500 is due at the time you make your reservation. For rentals of less than a week a deposit of $250 is required. Provided no charges have been incurred for excess cleaning, or property damage, the deposits will be returned in full approximately 2-3 weeks.

    Check in/arrival time starts at 3pm on the first day of your stay. Check out/departure time is 11am on the last day of your stay. These times can be flexible if there if there are no bookings immediately before or after yours (upon request).

    The home is professionally cleaned before and after your arrival. If you cancel fewer than 90 days before your arrival date, no monies will be refunded unless a replacement booking is obtained. No refunds for delayed arrivals, early departures or inclement weather.

Our house comes with bath towels, beach towels, beach chairs and toys, big and small coolers, bikes, outdoor furniture, fully stocked kitchen for those that like to prepare meals, propane grill, outdoor hammock, ceiling fans for a nice breaze, clothes line for drying towels, cable tv and wireless internet access throughout the house, fax/copier, VCRs on two televisions and more. Outside you can enjoy beautiful gardens, large lawn, and lounge chairs, and a sunning deck with comfortable furniture.

Golf:

THere are several public and private golf courses on the Vineyard. THe best public courses are Farm Neck (18 holes) in Oak BLuffs, overlooking Segontacket pond, and Mink Meadows (9 holes) in Vineyard Haven. Both have pro shops, cart rentals and practice ranges.

Other Activities:

Close to town for shopping or picking up fresh fish for the grill. Easy access to Edgartown Great Pond for kayaking, crabing or fishing. A quick ride to South Beach for sunning or taking on the waves. Head over to Morning Glory farm to get fresh island grown vegtables and specailty foods. Ride over to the Katama General Store for early morning coffe, fresh baked scones and the newspaper. Ride over to the Herring Creek bike path and head to town, the beach or up island.

Our Home Away from Home

We just finished our 4th year in a row renting this great house. It is perfect for our family of five. The house is immaculate. Location is great. It is a short drive to South Beach, downtown Edgartown, the fish market and Stop and Shop. Long Point (our favorite beach and place in general) is about 20 minutes away by car. Each bedroom has a flat panel TV as does the living room. The deck is spacious and the outdoor shower is very refreshing after a day at the beach. The house has a new owner who has made some nice improvements to the property including new living room furniture, the flat screen televisions, a new clothes washer and some nice artwork. The bikes (three for adults and two for young children) are a nice touch as well. The home also comes with beach chairs and games for the yard and beach. This is an affordable and extremely clean and comfortable property. We look forward to coming back next year.

Hi Ed. I wanted to just let you know that we had a great time at your house. Everything was there. We actually brought stuff that we didn't need because houses are not usually as prepared as yours was for renters!We had a great time. I especially liked when the turkeys from the farm were wandering around like they owned the place!! In reality, they do I guess.Thanks again.L. Diemer

Dear Ed and Anna: On behalf of my group, I want to sincerely thank you for all you did to help make our vineyard stay a memorable one. I've been renting houses on the island for five years, and I've never experienced a house that was so renter-friendly as yours. From the towels and beach chairs to the house games, everything was perfect. And, on top of that, the actual house and its location are spectacular. We all truly appreciated it and had a wonderful time. Needless to say, it's hard adjusting back to the normal life off island.Again, thank you for everything. You do a terrific job as thoughtful and considerate renters.
