This beautifully remodeled and upgraded condo is the perfect choice for 2 and will accommodate up to a total of 4 guests. Parking is very convenient and it is not necessary to lug heavy luggage up stairs or hassle with elevators. Access to one of the 3 pools is so convenient, it is just steps off the lanai. Tennis courts are also accessible from the lanai. Beautiful Charlie Young beach is just a short 3 minute walk and there are shops and restaurants within walking distance as well.
Linens and towels are provided, as well as kitchen utensils and appliances. There is even a stereo with an iPod dock, so you can bring your own music. High speed internet is provided and Wi-Fi, as well as cable television with a DVD player, if you plan to watch TV. The bedroom has a full King size bed and the sofa sleeper is a Queen.
This particular condo at the maui vista was the perfect place for us. Beautifully decorated with a King size bed. Very clean and well stocked. Five min walk to the beach. The path to the beach is right beside the pool for building two. this condo is right across from the pool. within walking distance to most restaurants and shops. Centrally located.
My husband and I recently stayed in this condo with our 6 month old son. It was absolutely perfect for our vacation in Maui! The location is fantastic. There is a great beach right across the street and it is within walking distance from many great shops and restaurants. I think what we liked best about the condo is that it is on the ground level over looking the pool. Every morning we had our breakfast and coffee on the lanai while our little guy played on the grass. We had a great vacation in Maui...unfortunately it was too short!! Mahalo!
My wife, three-year-old daughter and I spent two weeks in this comfortable apartment and felt completely at home. We just brought our suitcases in and started enjoying life in Kihei -- no hassles, no inconveniences. Everything was easy. The pool is just outside the back sliding glass door and one of the nicest beaches in the area (and there are many) is about a 3 to 5 minute walk away. Everything you need to enjoy the beach, make meals, and relax is supplied. Good restaurants and an ice creams shop are a nice stroll away. We'll be back.
I have thought about our stay at this condo since we returned to Canada Feb 20th to come up with something to say that does not make this review look like a con job. I just can not come up with anything that was a problem or negative. We had never stayed on a first floor before and I was a bit worried about security and critters getting in. I did not even see a sugar ant in the Condo during the 5 weeks we stayed here. The bedroom was great, very nice King bed. Bathroom has been remodeled and was clean, the kitchen was very nice and has everything you could need. We added a cast iron frying pan to take to the Bar B Q so that you can do those mushrooms and onions to go with the steak you are cooking. We did like the ground floor lanai as it is so much bigger than the upper units and this unit has more chairs out there than most guests will ever use. Although we did use all 8 a couple of nights. The internet worked with no issues, TV was good, never used the stereo as we brought an Ipod speaker with us. We never turned on the air unit but it looks like it is very new. The unit beside us was using theirs 24/7 but it did not cause any noise issues. Sometimes the walkway can be noisy at night ( there I found something) with new arrivals not understanding quiet time but was not real problem.
The fan in the living room was a bit wonky when we arrived but Mike (one of the owners) had that fixed immediately and will most likely be putting a new one in soon. The oven gave us some problems and again Mike had it fixed. You can not ask for better owners to deal with than Dan and Mike and we got to meet them both in person and they try to go out of their way to respond to any issue you might have. Charlie Young or Kam 1 beach is across the street and one of the Best on Maui. Good food places around, try 3's for their happy hour, and Cuatro beside Foodland for a nice Fish Dinner it is BYOB. Don't go to Rita's unless you have a stomach pump handy.
Maui Vista is a great building due to it's location, the grounds are well kept, it has 3 pools - one for each building but they are not huge. Great Bar B Q area that is cleaned every morning. If you are looking for a nicely kept condo that you will be comfortable in I would say contact Dan and Mike. We had about 5 other couples staying at various times at the Vista and all asked if we were booking for next year because if not they wanted to book this unit. The photo's of this unit are exactly correct.
We arrived in the afternoon just as the Maui Vista front desk was closing. When we found the room, down a dark hall, we could not find the lock box. We called the number for problems listed in the arrival information which told us they too were closed, call back tomorrow. We called the emergency number and a very knowledgeable lady answered. She noted that the Maui Vista had no control over the unit but she had answered may calls about the unit relating to the Lock box. She knew it is in a dark place on the left door frame above my head. The lock is on the right side of the door so my back was toward the lock box and I am only 6' 4" tall. We thanked her and found the box. My difficulty using the box is all my fault too. Having bifocals I had to tilt my head way back to see the numbers on the pad. They are embossed in the plastic cover and therefore the same color. The key worked, a little lube would have helped, and we entered the room. We found a well stocked unit with only a few exceptions. More than one of the lamps needed a bulb. We found "one" bulb to replace them. When we checked out of the unit one lamp still had no bulb and another had a bulb only because we stole one from the overhead light in the kitchen area. Now to log onto the WiFi. As noted the password was written on the modem, with a felt tipped pen which was hard to read. Having two letter "n"s, one in lower case and one in upper case I stupidly assumed one was lower case and one was upper case. How dumb can I get. Also I could not decipher another letter and, oh well, I finally logged on. Later I found the correct password in the guest comment book. Silly me, I should have looked there first. Plenty of towels, 3 facecloths. We use one per day, each, at home so we washed face cloths every day. The pool being just steps away we expected to find a key to the sliding door facing the pool. Being untrusting people, as we have learned to be in our changing world, chose the long way around. We must have broken something big because we have been home for about a week and have not been notified that we would be receiving our deposit back. Wish we knew what is was that is valued at over $200. Well furnished, well stocked, friendly place. We will never return to it again. Tom and Pat
I have stayed at the Maui Vista several times and this is a great condo! Clean and comfortable and had everything (literally) that we needed for an amazing vacation on Maui. Even better is how easy the process was and how Daniel was so efficient, professional and personable. Great experience all around and I would highly recommend.
