Lovely Home

  • 5 of 5
What a lovely home! The house itself is great - even better than the pictures. It's decorated beautifully, and there was plenty of room for all of us. The little beach areas were perfect for our granddaughter, and the deck was wonderful. Such a lovely, quiet spot - can't wait to come back!

Great Week!

  • 5 of 5
Thank you, Tim & Kathy, for sharing your delightful cottage with us. We loved the beautiful views of Lake Leelanau from the living areas. The dock made it easy for my sister & brother to pick us up by boat. The cottage was very comfortable, nicely updated and clean. Appreciated the nice linens & towels and well stocked kitchen. Loved taking day trips to Suttons Bay, Leland, Northport and Traverse City. Hope to return again!

A Vacation Jewel

  • 5 of 5
My search for a summer vacation home began in earnest last February. I spent hours on the VRBO website trying to find just the right property for our family of 7. This property kept popping up so I sent the owners an email to see if it was available for our desired week in August. We booked it and the rest is history. The cottage is a complete home with an amazing master bedroom suite, large bathroom and a sitting area. You wake up each morning looking out onto Lake Leelanau. I never wanted to leave. The second and third bedrooms are tastefully decorated and well appointed. As is the second full bathroom. There is also a laundry room and half bath combination off the kitchen which was very helpful. The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary pots/pans/dishes and extra silverware. We cooked a lot. It was great to have a very substantial gas grill, as well as a dishwasher and drinking water; hot and cold at our disposal. The living room and dining room are open to the kitchen which looks out over the lake. The furniture was clean, comfortable and accommodated us perfectly. The outside deck runs across the length of the house. There was a table/chairs for outside eating, or coffee sipping in the morning. The very comfortable wrought iron chairs with cozy cushions lined the deck for sunbathing and reading. In addition there is a great fire pit with wood for evening campfires; we had several. Also, there are two beaches in case you want to swim. Another bonus was how quiet it was. No noisy neighbors. The house is tucked into a quiet street lined with lovely properties. The location of the house was perfect for sightseeing. Traverse City, Sutton's Bay, Lake Leelanau and Leland were nearly equal distance away. The pictures on the website don't do #128056 justice! The current redo was truly a very pleasant surprise. A lot of thought went into making this a special vacation spot. We had a wonderful time; the owners were great to work with as we organized our trip. With luck, we'll be back next year!
