Lovely historic house in great town

  • 5 of 5
Lovely house! The description was accurate to the last word and the owner and her agent a joy to deal with. Everything went just as planned. The house is perfect for holidaying families, with comfortable good facilities. Location is great - central enough to walk everywhere but out of the bustle of the touristy town centre. The owner has put together a great 'guidebook' to Bruges and we tried several of the recommended restaurants, which were all of a good standard.

We had a great time!

Owner's Response: We love sharing our house, and we are always happy to hear that our home in Brugge made someone's holiday travel special. There is so much to see in Brugge and the surrounding area, and we think our house is the perfect place to relax at the end of a day of biking, sightseeing, or shopping. We hope you'll agree. Thank you to all our wonderful renters.

We get to Bruges from Spain. The house has everything you need, including salt, sugar, coffee, soap, even a beer shower. It's like being in a hotel with the comfort of having a living room and a kitchen. The house is perfect for 4 people. We were 3 couples and we were fine. Francis is a lovely person and provides you with everything you need. Thank you very much for everything.

Charming 17th-century Flemish home

  • 5 of 5
A very well presented house very close to the centre of Bruges.
We were met by the owner who is extremely helpful not only with the logistics of parking a car and Burge's infamous 1 way system but the running of the house, local amenities and Bruges attractions.

A thoroughly good holiday in an excellent house, I cannot find fault and would happily recommend this holiday home.

Delightful place to stay

  • 5 of 5
This is a delightful place to stay in Bruges. The property is extremely clean, very well equipped and tastefully presented, with design touches that befit the location in the hatmakers' street! Marie-Christine and Francis gave us a lovely welcome including some very enjoyable chocolates! The house information file was most useful in getting to know the area and the city. We would have liked to use Tom's Diner as it was very close and looked super, but left it until the weekend and found it fully booked. This was also the case with another popular restaurant so would advise early booking especially for the weekends. We enjoyed the canal trip around the city as well as the art galleries. The Groeninge Museum contained amazing early work and I particularly enjoyed the smaller Arentshuis with its Frank Brangwyn collection. One of our party visited the Historium which gave a good overview of the city's history. We also enjoyed a trip by train to the coast where we picked up the coast tram (5 Euro for a day rover ticket), visiting Knokke Heist, De Haan (highly recommended for art nouveau architecture) and Ostende (good restaurants down by the harbour). You can use the day ticket again on the bus in Bruges for a free ride back to the city centre from the railway station.
However, the main attraction of Bruges is the city itself - just wander the streets and enjoy! Thank you, Marie-Christine and Francis, for providing us with such charming accommodation.

Comfortable house in excellent location

  • 5 of 5
We stayed here for a week during a spell of particularly cold weather in March. The house is well-equipped and extremely cosy. It is also only a few minutes walk from the main square. Marie-Christine is incredibly helpful - above and beyond the call of duty. I would recommend this accommodation most highly.
