Plum Island Vacation Rental house

What can I say that the title does not. My husband rented this heavenly place to celebrate my 50th birthday. Every aspect of this house and location is the stuff of dreams. From the sunrise, gently waking us every morning, to the waves crashing both ways on the sandbar, the low-key old charm of Plum Island and the comfort of the home itself. We loved the spaciousness of the breezy, sunlit living room, where we would relax - listening to oldies on North Shore 104fm radio after a day on the beach or at Parker River refuge, looking at birds (or strolling to the southern most point of Plum Island). The deck was wonderful for morning tea and welcoming the day and greeting the morning tide (the lovely rose hips were in our near view). The house is equipped with all manner of supplies and necessities you would need to entertain - we had several cookouts on the deck and made good use of the kitchen and its supply of utensils and serving ware.

The kids loved the feature of the sandbar - where the confluence of two currents has the waves crashing together from two directions. It was really spectacular as well and provided hours of body surfing fun.

The house was clean, well-appointed and convenient to any of the local businesses - the convenience mart, the liquor store, mad Martha's Cafe and the Plum Island grille. We left the island twice - once for dinner in Newburyport (where there are many options in all dining categories) and the other to take the catamaran ride from the Newburyport waterfront. Otherwise, we were content to enjoy the wealth of natural beauty from the beach or on the deck of the Yankee Belle. Indelible in my mind is the imprint of pristine beauty and relaxation that Yankee Belle provided us on our well-needed vacation. We hope to return many times.
