The layout of the house was wonderful for a family sharing the space or for 2 couples. The house was very inviting and the great room allowed for visting together. It was hot when we arrived and the air conditioning was not working. I phoned the owner but got no response. There was no cell service and the house phone could not be used because it was pulled away from the wall. THE HOUSE WAS WELL FURNISHED and appealing and had many amenities such as towels and books about the area. We did have to go to the local market as no soap was provided. The house was very clean, however, we had several mice that ran around the kitchen and stove etc. The stove was not working properly so cooking had to be in the microwave. The mice ate some of our food that was on the kitchen counter. They mostly stayed downstairs but we did watch them run upstairs and then come back down. The Gateway Restaurant very nearby offered a wonderfull view of the river. We hiked in the park and had a good time.

Owner's Response: Three Rivers is a mountain community, with the Kaweah River within walking distance of our vacation home. In the month of may the water level is at it's highest and our property is used every weekend by families and friends that enjoy a mountain retreat.
There is only one home within 7 miles of the property and at the end of spring in the mountains, creatures come out for food and move to and from the river. There are mice in the mountains and everywhere else for that matter. They are not there always and really this was the worst as far as numbers of them are concerned in the 5 years we have owned the home. The problem is of course now taken care of.
The air conditioner, did need to be repaired after this visit, however the visitor neglected to mention that there are two air conditioner units for this 2000 sq ft. property, and the other one (upstairs) worked correctly.
Finally, no where on our website or in our information otherwise does it state we will provide soap. Although there is dish soap, and hand soap in the kitchen and bathrooms. So this would have been above and beyond the large amount of amenities provided through out the home. In conclusion, we have rented our home to hundreds of beautiful people who have nothing but praise for our effort and our home, this is the first time anyone has ever listed anything picking apart the experience as unsatisfied. Thank you.
