Everything you want for an incredible vacation is at our spectacular home, located in Vanderhorst Plantation at 44 Trumpet Creeper. This luxurious courtyard home offers privacy for every guests. Great rental for two families. All 3300 sq. ft. are professionally decorated including custom window treatments and hardwood floors throughout accented by oriental rugs. When entering the main front door, your breathtaking view is a magnificent veranda overlooking a private kidney shaped pool surrounded by tropical landscaping. The spacious main house has 2 master suites having their own baths with garden tubs, separate showers and large walk-in closets. The kitchen has beautiful costa smerelda granite, breakfast nook overlooking the pool, laundry room, a butlers bar and half bath. There is a formal dining room and a great room that opens to the screen porch with both overlooking the courtyard. The cabana has 2 master suites with their private full baths. All 4 bedrooms have king-sized beds.

  • All four bedrooms have king-sized beds with the most soothing mattresses you will ever sleep on away from home. In addition, each bedroom has luxurious designer linens and towels, its own dedicated TV, VCR, DVD, telephone and high speed DSL internet access with data ports in each bedroom allowing vacationers to 'Escape to Kiawah' while staying in touch. There are stereo speakers in all rooms in the main house, on the screen porch, and in the pool area. Since we now have our first grandchild, we also have arrangements for the little one!

Notes: Our newer, June 2004, home is a tranquil retreat both inside and outside that will complete your Kiawah vacation. We take pride in the maintenance of our home to keep it top quality. All 3300 sq. ft. have 10 ft. ceilings and strongly emphasizes privacy and serenity. With two bedroom suites in the cabana, having a total of four master suites, this is a great home for extended family vacations or for two families. There is privacy for everyone. The kidney shaped heated pool is level with the main house making it convenient to watch the little ones from every room. Our favorite room to read the daily complimentary newspaper is the screen porch with the cushioned wicker furniture. 44 Trumpet Creeper is the ultimate relaxing getaway.

We had been in the house for only 10 minutes when the owner called to make sure that everything was up to our expectations. Of course, it was and we kicked off a fabulous week at this wonderful home.

The house was perfectly suited for our "kids" and their kids to enjoy all of the amenities that were included, especially the pool, games and the island itself. The furnishings and decorations were exquisite and the linens better than a 5 star hotel. This home was equipped with every imaginable houshold item you might need during your stay. Truly, the only thing you need to bring is your swim suit, your favorite beverage and groceries. Everything else is already here. The owner even took the extra step and checked with us during the week just to make sure that everything was in order.

Living in the lap of luxury on an island paradise with your family for a week is the ultimate vacation. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

We have been renting homes on the Vanderhorst Plantation for the past 5 years and this has been our favorite house on the island. The layout of the house and the beautiful and comfortable furnishings made this a great vacation home for our family. Our two children loved the pool with basketball goal and we loved the nice shaded areas and the great screened porch overlooking the pool. The kitchen was also very well equipped for us to cook great dinners every night. Sally also showed us a beautiful, easy bike path to get to the beach. We would definately rent this house again for future vacations. We are even considering 2 weeks next year!

A vacation home in Vanderhorst Plantation at Kiawah Island is an exceptional experience! To have a home away from home with all the amenities you want makes life easy, pleasant and enjoyable and is all that you can ask for. This home is spotless and well designed. It was even more interesting to learn from the owner that she had designed and made the beautiful window treatments and bedding!!! The owner couldn't have been more solicitous about our comfort. We have been to Kiawah for about 20 years and by far this was the best house we have stayed in. We go to rest and relax, but golf, beach and places to dine are all easily accessible on the island. Selfishly, we do not want to recommend this house because we don't want to share it with anyone else! We will be back.

We had been to 44 Trumpet in 2006 and 2007. We had to take a detour to Disney this year...but are looking forward to returning to paradise in 2009!! ...

We stayed at 44 Trumpet Creeper for a week in August 2007. It was an amazing place to celebrate my parents 40th wedding anniversary. My family has been coming to Kiawah for 28 years. We've rented villas and homes in every part of the island and this was the best one ever! Sally was a pleasure to work with and we will definately come back.
