3 bedroom, 2 bathrooms plus outdoor shower. Sleeps six.

The owners love this light filled home in the desirable Katama neighborhood, and it shows. A large wraparound first floor deck and a smaller deck upstairs off the master bedroom and loft provide lots of room to stretch out and relax. A bluestone patio in the rear with a dining table and Adirondack chairs provide alternative dining and entertaining options. There's even a hammock in back. Newly renovated kitchen and bathrooms. Very convenient to downtown Edgartown and to South Beach. No smoking, no pets. Sunday to Sunday rentals only. Accepting reservations for June and September/ October 2012 through Columbus Day. July and August 2012 have been fully booked by satisfied repeat renters and people who recognize quality and value.. Consider the 'shoulder seasons' of June and September/October. Same attractions and weather; fewer people; lower rates. A perfect time for retirees or families with preschool children.

Accepting reservations for June through Columbus Day 2012. July and August 2012 are fully booked. Check calendar for spring and fall availability. Sunday to Sunday rentals. This Katama neighborhood in Martha's Vineyard is a wooded area that affords privacy for the renter. Vickers Street is a private road maintained by the property owners. Use Google Earth for a 'bird's eye' view of 14 Vicker's location. Downtown Edgartown with its unique shops and gourmet restaurants is an easy walk or bike ride, and South Beach (made famous in Jaws} is about two miles away. All of the island's attractions are a short drive. Newcomers to the island should contact the Chamber of Commerce for helpful hints.

The owners have equipped the kitchen like the one in their primary home, and have tried to anticipate your every need. The kitchen was renovated in 2011 with new appliances and cabinets and soapstone counter tops. The range is dual fuel, with a gas cooktop and electric convection oven. The range also inclues a warming drawer. The french door refrigerator has an ice maker and dispenses filtered ice water. The bathrooms were renovated in the winter of 2012. PLEASE NOTE: Check in time is Sunday at 3:00 PM. Checkout is the following Sunday at 10:00AM. You might want to take this into consideration when making ferry reservation

A great vacation stay

The open, well-lit and spacious floor plan allows for great socialization and interaction among guests. It easily slept 6 of us with room to spare. The deck provides ample outdoor entertainment and the external maintenance is immaculate. It's centralized location left us with a simple, short bike ride to any destination worth visiting; yet the cite is still very private and intimate. We have visited 3 times now and couldn't imagine staying anywhere else on the Vineyard and have as good of a time.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Lovely, comfortable 3-bedroom getaway

Our family had a lovely vacation at this 3 bdrm home in Katama (late June 2008). Beds are comfortable (which is a rarity), kitchen is well-equipped. It's great to have sheets and towels provided. Quiet area; house is nestled in woods but has a light, open feeling. Easy to get to beaches and Edgartown. Great collection of books to read, too. We've stayed in many places on the Vineyard over the years, and this one is great.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
