Med Point, Governors Harbour, April 22-29, 2008

The location is fabulous, although the roads are primitive.
]We were far from any other cottages, but the construction crew building another house on the rear of the property, kept us from feelilng alone ! At least they hammer slowley, and when the power goes out they can't even use the power saw!
Herman the diver, never came by, and by day four we asked around and found out he was told by his Doctor to take the month off. We had planned our meals and activities around his expertice of catching lobster and fishing. I was very disappointed.
The cottage was accomadating, nothing special, except the view.
The breezes kept up all week except the last day, when the power was out and we were raveged by the sand flies or no-see-ems. We scratched for four days after and finally went to the Dermatologist.
We enjoyed exploring the island, North to South.
The trip to the Lighthouse was grouling, but the beach is worth it.
Never met Natasha the caretaker, and the cell phone at the house had no $$ on it even for local calls. We had no idea how to add any.
The water was very nice and temp was good. It was too rough for snorkeling or kyaking, so we body surfed.
We found Kemp's cove, on the Caribbean side, and tryed to snorkel, but a mass of jelly fish had been left in there by the tide. So we got out before we got any stings.
Definatly need to be in good shape to handle the roads, beaches and rocks.
Med beach was beautiful, and we practically owned it.
The ants are very tenatious, and will find any crumb, even a rinsed out glass.
