I live in the West End of Portland, but spend as much time as allows in Friendship or The County. Formerly in the hospitality industry, I own a collection of properties in Maine, and strive to provide comforting restful spaces for short or long term.
I fell in love with Friendship the first time I visited and was delighted when this property came o the market. This cottage is unique in that it is very private, is located on a wooded 2 acre parcel, but also has ocean frontage.
This my personal cottage that I rent out for about 10 weeks a year.
You will feel like a guest in someones home rather than a rental property. There are beautiful gardens and quiet meditation areas. This is a magical place, quite whimsical and with personal touches all around.
From local airports: Owl's Head, Rockland (serviced by US Airways, airport code RKD) 25 minutes, Portland or Bangor 1 1/2 hours driving time.
Located 31/2 hours driving time from Boston.
Friendship is a small lobstering community in Mid Coast Maine.
The towns of Camden, Rockland, Waldoboro and Damariscotta are within 20 - 40 minutes. Enjoy the Museums, galleries, boutiques and restaurants. Experience local theatre productions, Summer Opera, green markets. See the lobster boat races or go on a day sail on a schooner. Visit lighthouses, take a ferry to one of the many islands off the coast of Maine. Go exploring on one of the many trails located nearby. Or take a day trip to Acadia National Park.
