Ritired from diplomatic services around the world, I enjoy to meet foreigners and give all kind of useful information to make your vacation in Rome happy and relaxing. Do not hesitate to ask for any help you may need.
My son Gabriele helps me manage the apartment. You can relay on him for anything.
My name is Gabriele. I help manage the apartment for my father Giuseppe (in the picture).
I have helped managing this property for about 3 years. Before I managed another apartment for 5 years.
I enjoy art and architecture and meeting people.
I will be happy to help you make the most of your trip to Rome.
Giuseppe Di Milia purchased this apartment in 1972
Elegant area. Comfortable and centrally located. It has all the comforts of a home.
Very good location to see all the main attractions of Rome.
The building has a very distinctive 1950's design and interesting architectural features. It is well connected by public transportation to monuments and sites of interest and it is elegantly furnished and decorated with taste.
Beautifully furnished apartment. Four of us stayed 4 days and covered most of the well known sights/sites by bus, metro and tram. My son and I managed to watch Lazio who play at the Olympic stadium (metro then no 2 tram then a walk!).
The flat was warm with plenty of hot water. Owner met us on arrival even though it was late. Good recommendations for shops and restaurants. Suggest installing a kettle for your British guests to use!
We had a great stay here. The apartment was extremely nice, quiet and comfortable.
Very close to the Rome center, a 5 minutes walk from Vatican City and San Pietro.
Perfect for four people.
This apartment really was everything I hoped it would be. It was both elegant and comfortable and Gabriele was very helpful, so that we felt we had everything we needed. Having travelled there with my eighty-year-old mother, it was important that the Vatican, good restaurants and shops were within a suitable walking distance, and this I found to be the case. The number 64 bus stop was also close by, which proved very useful when travelling to the historic centre, or to Termini in order to make more travel connections. It was a wonderful home from home during our short visit and I would definitely consider this apartment again for another visit to Rome.
The apartment is nice and centrally located. We were able to walk to the central sites in Rome, no need to take the bus.
We are a family of four and our children are 10 and 12 years old.

Le Mura Apartment is located near Saint Peter's Basilica and the Vatican and . The name 'le Mura' was chosen because it is located along the Janiculum Walls (In Italian Mura Gianicolensi) which are a part of the defensive wall that was erected in 1643 by Pope Urban VIII in addition to the Leonine walls (in defense of the Vatican Hill), for greater protection of this portion of Rome, which extended to the right side of the Tiber.
The Janiculum is one of the best locations in Rome for a breathtaking view of the innumerable domes and bell towers that pierce the skyline of the multi-hued architectural museum. Other sights on the Janiculum include the church of San Pietro in Montorio, built upon the site formerly thought to be where St Peter was crucified; the small shrine known as the Tempietto, designed by Donato Bramante, marks the supposed site of Peter's death. The Janiculum also houses a Baroque fountain built by Pope Paul V in the late-17th century, the Fontana dell'Acqua Paola, and several foreign research institutions, including the American Academy in Rome and the Spanish Academy in Rome. The Hill is also the location of The American University of Rome, Pontifical Urban University, and Pontifical North American College, as well as the Orto Botanico dell'Università di Roma 'La Sapienza' and the Palazzo Montorio, residence of the Ambassadors of Spain.
