Situated on five acres, this log sided, post and beam chalet overlooks a small pond and has seasonal, mountain sunset views. It features 3 bedrooms (including loft), 1 1/2 half bathrooms with tile and a whirlpool tub, a large open loft/game/bed room complete with satellite TV, pool table, card table, Foosball, bar, dartboard and sitting area with futon. The home easily sleeps 6 and has a fully equipped kitchen, living/dining room, indoor/outdoor gas fireplace, skylights, deck , two porches, gas grill and a full basement with washer/dryer, ping pong table and 2 car garage. The property is also very nicely landscaped with rock walls and a stream. The area is abundant with wildlife and outdoor activities! Its only minutes from Dixville Notch State Park and the Balsams Wilderness Resort, Androscogin River, Akers Pond and Lake Umbagog. Additionally, Grafton Notch State Park, Sunday River Resort and the Rangely Lakes Region in Maine are only a short drive away!

Relax in the great north woods!

We had a perfect long weekend at this beautiful cabin! The cabin was cozy and provided all the comforts of home. Many hours were spent in the loft playing pool, darts and cards. We enjoyed cooking big breakfasts and family dinners in the well appointed kitchen. A soak in the large jacuzzi tub was a great way to end a day spent playing outside with our dogs. Make sure if you rent this home in the winter, you have a 4 wheel or all wheel drive vehicle. The hill leading to the cabin is steep and windy and not well maintained. Once we made it up the hill, we didn't want to come back down for the great time we had. We will be back for sure!

Heaven on earth

This is one of those scenarios where the written or spoken word cannot do justice to accurately depict the reality of this fine camp. My wife and I stayed for a 3 day mini-vacation and could not have hoped for a more wonderful stay. This cabin is immaculate and we were stunned on arrival to find things as clean and perfect as they were. The pictures cannot do true justice to just how splendid this cabin is. Every conceivable amenity is included and makes just unpacking and enjoying all that is left! The beds are comfortable, the kitchen well equipped and the views and sunsets from the deck are unsurpassed. Discretionary income is harder to come by these days, but this cabin is a true value in every way. We were so impressed that we immediately booked another stay. If it is the pure serenity of peace and quiet, the amenities anyone could need and the prospect of being overwhelmed by rustic charm and fantastic sunsets - this is the rental for you! The charm of the game loft, the double-sided fireplace, the cleanliness and comfort are truly a delight. Tom was simply wonderful to work with and made us feel welcome and cared about. It does not get any better than this dreamy vacation retreat! If there were more stars on the rating - we would max it out every time!! Thank you Tom

My husband and I were looking for a quiet weekend away and this was perfect! We didn't do too much site seeing as there was plenty to keep us busy and relaxed in the house. The pictures don't do the cabin justice as far as beauty and cleanliness. It was perfect and gorgeous! The view of the mountains was great! Main was a short drive away with some great stops of amazing views. Lots of hiking in the area as well. I highly recommend and look forward to going back again in the future.

Fantastic

Started out just looking for a getaway with some of my closest girlfriends. Ended up with much more then we ever imagined. The view to the cleanliness was just absolutely amazing. Tom was wonderful and funny to work with and has lots of conversation peices around the house that kept us entertained. The outside fireplace with coffee drinks in the morning and some wine at night was just what us working moms needed to relax. Thanks again for a fantastic time, only regret was not staying longer. Next time might even bring the hubby and kids..maybe!

This is to reiterate what others have said. Great location, very clean and tidy, and very nicely appointed. Everything worked and it was a pleasure working with Tom, the owner, on our special rental situation. It was a great place for kids as it has all sorts of indoor play options if the weather were not to cooperate, though that wasn't our situation as we had excellent skiing at the nearby Balsams.
I would highly recommend this rental.
