Description of the Peggy's Cove vacation cottage rental
This cottage is in a gorgeous location. It sits on a granite bluff overlooking the ocean, with greater than 180 degrees of spectacular water views. It is on 3 acres, and is the only home on the ocean side of the road, insuring privacy and open views. This is prime Nova Scotia ocean frontage. The views are unsurpassed.
You would be at a peaceful oceanfront retreat, but Halifax, a major international city is only 20 minutes away!

Prospect is about 20 minutes from Halifax, and 10 miles from Peggy's Cove. It is an oceanfront fishing village. The village is fairly quiet, but the people are very friendly and can share their way of life with you. Waterfront recreation abounds with everything from sea kayaking to sailing, water skiing, motor boating, fishing and whale watching. There is a two mile stretch of undeveloped pubic land ('crown land', as it is nominally owned by the queen of England) right next to the cottage that is a fabulous place to walk, run mountain bike or hike. The coast is spectacular to drive along with many picturesque villages such as Peggy's Cove, Lununberg, Mahone Bay, and Chester nearby. Restaurants are plentiful, with delicious seafood. Halifax is a major international city and has first class activities and attractions, including Celtic music, professional sports and entertainment, the Citadel fortress, a charming waterfront, and an excellent nightlife.

The cottage has been entirely renovated. It is cozy, comfortable and in a gorgeous location. There is one bedroom, as well as a sleeper sofa in the living room, and a bed in a clean attic. There is also a large eat-in kitchen, and a bathroom with shower. A large deck offers great views of the ocean, a small bay, and the village of Prospect.
To the east is 2 miles of undeveloped public park land along the ocean. This is a fabulous place to walk!
The city of Halifax is only 20 minutes away. You would have the best of both worlds-a beautiful and peaceful oceanfront retreat, but near a major international city. .
My cottage is very pleasant, but not luxurious. If you are looking for a magical place with the ocean-and not a lot of other people at your door; a place where nature is at its best, but a city is close by; a place to truly get away from the rat race and be with loved one(s), this is it. I do not think it gets any better!
