We are so enjoying our time at Cliff Lodge. Everything in the house is as described in the listing. Joanna has been a great hostess and her contact, Joy, in Kingfield has been most helpful. The town has all we need - food, restaurants, pub, supermarket, petrol station, ATM.
Longfellows has the best mussels, and the upstairs balcony has a great view of the river and the trees. The Orange Cat Cafe has good coffee and tasty food, and wifi but we have had trouble using our mobile phone here - our Australian provider has let us down.
The Fall is beautiful - we are enjoying all the colours changing. We are exploring the area and taking photos. There are three artists in our group who are painting by the lakes and rivers and loving it. Two of us are fly fishing but so far the fish have been elusive - still a wonderful experience.
We would recommend King Lodge to our friends and family and would like to return.

Truly a gem

I wanted to personally thank you for a very nice and affordable place to stay for our vacation. Our family had a great time and things could not have been better. The lodge was a wonderful relief when we first arrived. The not knowing what to expect was dismissed when we entered the door. I have never used an online rental before and this added to our anxiety. The home is very well equipped. It was very clean and quiet. Once we got used to not having the internet, phones, and limited cable TV we settled into a excellent vacation. The opportunity to get a way and reconnect with ones family in an excellent environment is priceless. I recommend Cliff Lodge to everyone who wants a perfect place to stay away from the hectic places you could stay on vacation and just relax. There is no need to pack heavy as everything you need is provided except your own personal preferences, foods, etc; There are plenty of stores in Farmington and a local supermarket to satisfy any thing you crave. Just a great experience. So thank you again from The Lewis family.

A wonderful family cabin

I took my three small boys to Maine for six weeks this past summer and we all had a wonderful time in this property. It was fully stocked with every necessity you could imagine (bug spray, suntan lotion, flashlight etc.) and the beds were ultra soft/ comfortable (plush duvets, fluffy pillows - heaven to sleep on). The kitchen had everything which made life easy! There was even a small book/DVD library which was an unexpected boon. We had a cookout one evening out back which was also fun. There is so much to do in the area. Hiking, biking, swimming - you name it. I can only imagine how much fun this would have been in winter with Sugarloaf right up the road! My sister and her husband and baby came one weekend from Bangor and there was ample room for all. I would definitely love to visit again. If you are looking for something that is not fancy but is super comfortable, this is the place!
