Lake Algonquin - Wells Vacation Rental house

As a family of 6 we went in Feburary of 2008. My son and I stayed back while my husband 2 older girls and sister went out tubing. Though we were stuck at home we weren't upset at all. It was so relaxing and we had the best time. As for them from what I've heard "Mom you have to come next time, it was so fun," it was good. There was plenty of snow for the kids to sled/snowboard down the enormous driveway. It was amazing waking up to deer in the backyard. There was plenty of room for exploring inside and out. We absolutely loved the privacy of the cabin. All the amentities inside such as the woodburning stove, and great view were lovely. Not only is it beautiful the kitchen is fully equipped with everything. We didn't have to bring anything and the food stores were only a short trip into town. We loved how there was no access to the internet or cellphones etc. It was a great family vacation. The surrounding area is so wonderful and makes you feel great just to be up there and if you feel the need to go skiing, tubing, or snowboarding it's just a few short minutes drive away. I recomend this cabin to anyone looking to get away from it all. It doesn't matter how old you are and how old your kids are, if you have kids. You most deffinately will not have to worry about bringing reading material. There is a whole book shelf that has some awesome stories for any age. It was so clean there and well taken care of. Even though the stove was on the main floor it heated the whole house very well. Just as a reminder if you are someone who constantly needs T.V. bring some dvd's because thats what the television plays and no, game systems don't hook up to it. The owner was very nice and helped us with all of our questions and we had such a good time. We are going back for Christmas break and we are so excited. We will always come back. Meadow Lane cabin for life. We give it 5 stars and always will. This was deffinately one of our best vacations.

Our family loved our visit to Meadow Lane. What a special retreat...so cozy and comfortable. Wonderful country decor and a very "homey" feel. We cannot wait to visit again!

We loved this cabin- perfect for a family of four, lovely, fully equipped kitchen, large dining room and a family room with a dvd player. The location was perfect for cross country skiing in several of ths surrounding ski areas. And best of all- no internet access or cell phones to annoy or distract you from enjoying time with your family. The cabin was clean and well stocked. We had a great time!

The only suggestion I have is that the driveway leading up to the house needs seriously salting during the icy season. Our Camry had a bit of trouble making it up the hill.

I would highly recommend this property and am considering coming back next year.
