A Wedding to Remember

We held our small wedding here in 2006 and our guests are still talking about it. The little hill with big trees is the perfect spot to take your vows while the lake and forest make a wonderful backdrop for photos. The house was perfect for a week of wedding prep with a few family members and friends. One of the bedrooms would only fit small children. The owners did limit the event to 50 people which fit our needs just fine. While the property is certainly large enough to host more people, we were able to utilize the space to our advantage. Our guests absolutely loved it. But be forewarned, this is not the place for a turnkey wedding. The kitchen is great for family cooking, but not for an event. Fortunately we are event producers so brining in a tent, grills, restroom trailer, etc. didn't deter us. The location is fantastic. Seconds from the Taconic but you wouldn't even know its there. Walk down to the cool little general store for breakfast. It's truly a quaint, small town feel just a few hours from the city. Rhinebeck has good dining and easy to reach. Tons of sightseeing, fishing, boating, hiking or shopping nearby. It is wonderful for a summer rental or even just a one week getaway. The owners are very nice people and take great pride in their property. They treat it as their home and not a rental, which is why it's so beautiful and comfortable.
