Take a fun and economical vacation within easy driving distance of all the northeast. Located on two wooded acres just off the Hall Quarry Road, the three season Chalet is a restful retreat at the end of a day's hiking/swimming/ beach combing, leaf peeping or whatever suits your style. Quaintly and comfortably furnished with antiques, this chalet has an open living room/dining room area with a cathedral ceiling, fully equipped kitchen, FHA heat and a cozy gas fireplace for those chilly nights. Board games, puzzles, children's video library, TV with DVD/VCR and CD player offer entertainment while spending relaxing time at the Chalet. First floor bedroom has two double beds, loft bedroom has two double beds and a cot. One full bathroom with tub/shower. Linens, blankets, and bath towels included. Telephone for local calls only. Pets welcome with approval from owner.

Nearest Beach: beach at 1.0 Miles

Centrally located on Mount Desert Island, the Chalet provides quick access to Acadia National Park and Cadillac Mountain; picturesque Somesville; and Bar Harbor with it's Acadia inspired shoppes, fine restaurants, whale watching, trolly rides, golfing, and much more. Just a few miles away is the quaint little town of Southwest Harbor with it's grocery stores, fine restaurants, golf course, medical centers and pharmacy, post office, library with wireless internet access, wine & cheese shoppe, ice cream cafe's, and many other activities. Bass Harbor features the most photographed lighthouse - Bass Harbor Head Light, and a working harbor with it's lobster boats and fishing gear. The ferry to Swans Island leaves from Bass Harbor - check with the Maine State Ferry Service for more details. If traveling to Northeast Harbor be sure to take scenic Sargent Drive which offers magnificent views of Somes Sound - the only natural fjord on the Eastern Seaboard.

  • Weekly rentals from $650 to $950 per week
  • Check-in time is anytime after 4pm.
    Check-out time is promptly at 10am to allow for cleaning between guests.
    A refundable security deposit of $200 is required.
    Pets welcome with additional $50 per pet per week non-refundable & and additional $50 refundable security deposit.
  • To secure a reservation - 50% deposit of total rental fee is due with signed lease contract.
    Balance is due 3 weeks prior to arrival.
    Directions and instructions will be provided when final payment is received.
