We have stayed several times at the NJ Shore House. We used it for a weekend wedding shower, and several annual family gatherings. I would recommend this property. The property is always clean and the pictures on the website reflect the property. The owner is pleasent to work with. The best part about the property is the extra large kitchen with counter/bar seating, the dinning room table that seats 20 people and the LR with gas fireplace. These 3 rooms are all open to each other. Great space to move/hang around in. You can be cooking in the kitchen and still feel you are with everyone else. Great layout and wonderful decoratoring with summer colors. Having speakers on the first floor is great for having radio/music that everyone can hear. The property is locate one block from the ocean - no ocean view. Hotel on ocean block, blocks the ocean. It is nice to be able to walk to beach and hotel across the street from house offers food and drinks. Excellent lay out of bedrooms and bathrooms. 1st floor bedroom with 1/2 bath great for Grandparents. Cape May is very nice area to stay in - you have the beach, boardwalk, shopping, and lots of restaurants. We have always enjoyed our time in Cape May at the NJ Shore House and we think you will too.
After the lost of my Father, the ladies of my family decided to get together once a year for a "Wild Women Weekend" These ladies came from Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and Jersey. This was our 12th year getting together. Jersey had it last year and the ladies had never been to this coast, Well.....these ladies voted and will be returning soon!! Their ages where from 21 to 81. The weekend is to remember those we have loved/lost and to always make time for family.
Thank you so much for your home and the joy it brought to us all!!!!
I couldn't have dreamt of a better off-season rental. The house is incredibly comfortable and well-appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed. There was a big TV in the living room and one in the bedroom and even some good DVDs to watch. Wireless internet too! Overall, this is a lovely, roomy property with just the right cozy Cape May feel. Steps away from the beach and super close to Congress Hall. Even on a snowy windy weekend in February, this rental offered us a wonderful beach getaway. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
The house was clean, cheerful and very easy to work in. All 20 of us loved it and felt very welcome. We would highly recommend this house to anyone who wants to share a home with their extended family.
Me and my 4 siblings and our families (24 people) have been vacationing every year for about 15 years and I have to say that this was one of the best vacations. The house was perfect for our group, with plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, and living space. Everything is a short walking distance, which was great for the adults as well as the 14 kids, who are mostly teenagers. We went to the beach, rode bikes, watch the sunrise, went out to dinner, had barbaques at the house, played volleyball, rode the waves, did yoga on the beach, went to the 2 mile boardwalk, which had so many rides, relaxed with books, many walks into town and nice mornings and evenings on the front porch:) Everyone is looking forward to coming back to Cape May and to this great house! Thank you Lisa!!!
House was in good condition and very clean. There was a wonderful porch that I sat on every morning and took in the ocean breeze and watched the people go by.
There was plenty of space and beds in the house along with enough bathrooms and showers to suit a large group. The house was tastefully decorated. Great for friends and family, this house was enjoyed by all.
Lisa was very responsive to any questions I had. I would definitely consider renting the house again.
You are 100 steps to the beach! Wake and wander to the beach in just a few easy steps. Roller blade, walk, run on the promenade in the morning. Bike around town on the bike trails or take a leisurely stroll to town for shopping and great restaurants. Take a house tour, play miniature golf or climb the lighthouse at Cape May Point. Take a trolley ride or a horse drawn carriage ride and listen to the history that Cape May offers as the first beach resort!
In the summer, there are movies on the beach, fudge and ice cream cones and the quiet roar of the ocean...every season has a reason...
Other Activities: In the Fall, there is Victorian week
In the Winter, enjoy the town as it resembles an old Dicken's novel. The town is decorated and there are many tours to see and hear about all the history in architecture and flavorful characters and 'spirits' that preceded us!
In the Spring, there are many boardwalk or beach runs, there are wine tours and Jazz Festivals
Any season is a reason to visit Cape May! We have so much to offer all year long!
