Sugarloaf USA, Review 1:
Sugarloaf USA....One Of The Top 10 Resorts For Spring Skiing
This mountain is considered the best overall skiers' mountain in New England. The elevation is more than 4,000 feet, the exposure limits the melt, nights are crisp and April is historically the second snowiest month of the ski season. Reggae Weekend, in mid April, is one of the East's biggest spring skiing and snowboarding parties. However, the mountain normally closes in late April--not for lack of snow, but too few skiers. ~MSNBC, Top 10 Resorts for Spring Skiing.
Sugarloaf USA, Review 2:
Sugarloaf USA....Practically Perfect
The ultimate measure of a mountain is the ability to be anything to anybody. A challenge for experts. A happy place for novices and kids. An intermediate cruiser’s Neverland of long, wide boulevards. A place complex enough to keep local skiers physically and intellectually engaged, day in, day out. Sugarloaf is all these things and can also spice the mix with its summit snowfields, unique to the East. Sugarloaf is the old (a narrow,
corkscrew trail like Bubblecuffer) and the new (straight-and-wide King Pine). Remote(address: Middle of Nowhere, Maine); yet, with its slope side cluster of hotel, condos, and restaurants, surprisingly urban. Perfect? Were it a bit warmer in mid-winter, maybe. Otherwise, practically perfect. ~Ski Press, The perfect awards, Winter 2005.
