Gulf Pines has two swimming pools and tennis courts for your enjoyment and is located a short drive or bike ride to the Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge, the Shell Museum, the Conservation Foundation and the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. Beautiful Captiva Island is just a few minutes away. Two Championship public golf courses are located in Sanibel. No high-rise condos, strict conservation code, bike paths everywhere, this is the way life should be! Enjoy the laid back feeling of Sanibel and don’t forget to take your glass of wine to see the dolphins romp in the Gulf at sunset!

Sanibel is world-famous for the variety of beautiful sea shells that wash up daily on its pristine beaches. Walk along the beach, a 5 minute walk from the house, and collect, swim, fish or lay out in the sun. The Gulf Pines Community is carefully built into Sanibel's coastal jungle (in Florida, we call it a 'hammock') so the homes coexist with the birds, animals and flora. Sanibel's bicycle paths cross the island from one end to the other so grab our fat tire cruisers and explore! Like to fish? Full or half day trips are available in small boats from several island marinas. Lots of great places to eat, art galleries, quaint shops and visit the original Chico's clothing store!
