The Sea Perch:
The Sea Perch is a very comfortable and well appointed Oceanfront Beach Cottage located in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. (The cottage is approximately 20 yards from the ocean). The Outer Banks boast over 100-miles of pristine white beaches (many not inhabited). It is a shell collectors dream. The Outer Banks also boast 7 Championship Golf Courses in the area. Restaurants vary from fine dining to drive-up stands. Aside from its wide, spacious beaches, the Outer Banks offers a variety of recreational opportunities for your enjoyment. There is deep-sea fishing in the Gulf Stream. You can also hang glide from Jockey's Ridge, sail, surf, tour the Wright Brothers Monument, and visit the North Carolin Aquarium, Elizabethan Gardens, Elizabeth II, Bodie Island Lighthouse, Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, and see the 'Lost Colony'.
Life at The Beach:
There's nothing like being lulled to sleep with the sound of the ocean waves, and feeling the peaceful Gulf Stream breeze in the evening. Every morning will greet you with a sensational sunrise right out your back door. You will even be able to enjoy evening sunsets over the sound. The Sea Perch has a private pool and Hot Tub on the Ocean side, along with decking. There are also two outside enclosed showers, and a fish cleaning station with running water. There is a large table and chairs on the top deck, along with a gas grill to enjoy evenings and family dinners together. The second floor deck has two hammocks and is shady. There is also a dune deck at the highest point of the dune, to enjoy the ocean without sitting on the beach. During the summer season, the beach is manned by a life guard.
(Be sure to look at the extra photos of the beach, pool, and decks.)
The Weather:
The temperature ranges throughout the year from 55 to 90 degrees, making each season enjoyable and worthy of a walk on the beach. Summer showers will often be brief and open with pristine blue skies after the storm. The fall experiences the least amount of rainfall, and guests of the Outer Banks may find the open, undeveloped terrain of the beaches less populated. With a great amount of sunshine all year long, despite the season, the weather is often mild and pleasant, with slight winds perfect for hang gliding or windsurfing.
