Original viga-beam ceilings, pine floors and hand-made Dominguez furnishings are all authentic native New Mexican. The earthy charm is complemented by international artifacts and contemporary museum-quality paintings. This endearing space, with its 18 delightful custom wall colors, comfortably sleeps 2 (or up to 4 including use of the queen futon-sleeper-sofa in the den). Your Hosts: Proprietor, Sir Dr Russell Betts ('Russ') lived & worked most of his professional life in Asia, the South Pacific & Europe, addressing through non-governmental agencies issues of social, economic, & political change. His partner, Noel Bennett, lived most of her life in the Southwest. She is a full-time artist. She has authored 9 books on Navajo weaving, history, & culture, and was a prominent national figure in the weaving world.....
When you arrive, we are there to personally greet and orient you--and answer questions. We also offer a welcome binder which includes maps of Santa Fe and the environs and some ideas of things to do and places to go. A very favorite with our guests is our extensive section of restaurant menus -- arranged by closeness of proximity (those to walk or drive to) and by special interests such as Take Out, Healthy Eating, Favorites with Kids, Less Expensive Fare.
