'CASA COLORES' is just three blocks (a five minute stroll) to the Plaza and five blocks to art-studded Canyon Road. It nestles into the wooded knoll that overlooks the historic Santa Fe Plaza. Easy accessibility to all Santa Fe has to offer. Its quiet privacy, its safe residential neighborhood, and its flexibility in accommodating 1 to 6 guests. This haven adjoins the Old Fort Marcy Park with its 360-degree ring-of-mountain-views & breathtaking sunsets. Just beyond is National Forest.

CASA COLORES is our most spacious house and is set 170 feet back off Otero Street in a quiet natural bowl of cedar & sage. The home features a rich palette of 37 delightful & fully integrated colors & contains Southwest/International decor with museum quality artifacts & paintings. Three plush leather sofas, a piano, a gaming area, dining room with tribal carvings and contemplative alcove.

A separate, well-equipped kitchen is just off the dining room. There are two sleeping wings: In one, two spacious bedrooms share one bath. A separate queen-bed-&-bath-suite is quietly positioned on the opposite side of the home.

A secluded Ramada with barbeque provides a convivial covered outdoor gathering space. Casa Colores' 2000 square foot home provides 3 bedrooms & 2 baths to sleep up to 6 max.

A Retreat for Artists

  • 5 of 5
Casa Colores was the perfect spot for 6 artists to call home for one week. The online photos accurately reflected the house's appearance. It was clean, comfortable, and had several rooms where we could all congregate..the indoor dining area, outdoor ramada, and the living room. Someone in our group could play the piano so we took advantage of the one provided along with the guitar and guitar player we brought along..fun times were had after dinners. We enjoyed touring the art galleries along Canyon Road and dining at The Compound; touring Ghost Ranch and Abiquiu; The Georgia O'Keeffe museum; opening night at the opera; free concerts at the Plaza; tour of the Santa Fe Brewery; shopping; and shopping! The stores here are amazing! and Yes we did have time to paint. We had lovely dinners at La Casa Sena and La Cantina, The Shed, Maria's, Pasqual's, Osteria d'Assisi, and pastries from Chez Mamou on Palace Ave for breakfasts. One night we experienced a lost of power which occurred all through the old town of Santa Fe...the owners Noel and Russ provided us with extra flashlights and we bought some candles..fortunately the power wasn't out long and the gas grill worked fine for dinner. I know I can safely speak for all 6 of us in saying this was a lovely retreat and we loved staying at Casa Colores and will definitely return if we can. This truly is the Land of Enchantment!

Charming Home Away From Home

  • 5 of 5
I was looking for a charming, romantic, convenient, comfortable home-away-from-home for the celebration of my BIG birthday and 37th wedding anniversary and CASA ADORE was PERFECT! My husband and I loved it here. The kitchen was stocked with all the utensils we needed for cooking..even spices which were left from past travelers. The pictures online were very accurate and there were no unpleasant surprises... only more beautiful. It was clean and very well maintained. The only thing missing for me was a full length mirror. The owners, Noel and Russ, and Christa, the office manager, were there to help for any reason. Their restaurant recommendations were perfect. We enjoyed a day window shopping down Canyon Road and saw incredible art..everyone was so friendly. Our hike to Tent Rocks was amazing and worth the huffing and puffing for 2 sea levelers. There was music on the plaza to enjoy most nights which was a couple of blocks away; Ghost Ranch about 1.5 hours drive, Taos and Taos Pueblo 1.5 hours ; I especially loved the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum, the Fine Arts Museum, and the History Museum in town. This was our first time in Santa Fe and everyone I talked to before we left said we would love it. My children even said I wouldn't come home that I would love it so much. Well we did love it! BUT.. we did return home because there is no place like home and we will be back for another visit. Thank you to Casa Adore and the owners Russell and Noel for a memorable birthday and anniversary.

A deeply peaceful and relaxing experience

  • 5 of 5
One of the common bonds between me and my husband is our deep passion for Santa Fe. Our very high expectations for a wonderful experience each time we visit are based on a cumulative history of such experiences. Our stay at this comfortable, delightfully designed casita amidst the serene winter backdrop in the hills above Santa Fe ranks as our best experience yet. We've stayed at the Inn of Five Graces a few times, at the renovated St. Francis, and at a few other VRBO homes around town, but there is something about this casita that creates a feeling of instant relaxation and of being wholly welcome that we've not experienced elsewhere. After spending each day in town, we very much looked forward to coming back to relax, read, review photos from our adventures and then drift off in a deep sleep. My favorite memory is waking in the middle of the night to look up and out the windows at the starlit night and to see the moonlight reflected off the snow...We also greatly enjoyed chatting with and getting to know the owners; truly delightful people who have an innate understanding of design that is inviting and warm. The photos cannot begin to capture this!

Excellent Accommodations

  • 5 of 5
This home is very well appointed and maintained. It is aesthetically very attractive. Attentiveness to details is complete. It is very comfortable and with a car is easy to get to anywhere in or out of town. We are reluctant to provide praise that would develop more demand to compete with our wishing to return, soon.

Cute casita and a great location

  • 5 of 5
We stayed at Casa Galaria over New Years. Very cute casita - comfortable and nicely decorated. The location is perfect - just a few blocks to the square. We will definitely stay here again.

We had a fabulous stay. The color, light, art and artifacts were a constant source of interest. Noel's paintings are wonderful and decorate most of the rooms. If, by chance, Russ shares some of his stories, you will be enthralled. There book on where to go and what to eat was great. We had wonderful food as a result. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone.
