Accommodation is classified by the location de L'AGIV as four stars - the building is a relatively old building as many of the more central buildings are. It has recently been fitted with a new roof and the outside of the building has been completely renovated. The apartment itself has very recently been completely renovated to include solid "old" oak wooden floors through out, new wiring and appliances and is furnished to a very high standard.
There is a games console and HD display monitor in the second bedroom.
The apartment is on the second floor and is exceptionally bright and light as the apartment is triple aspect with light coming in through windows (next to dining table and far left corner window) and balcony doors (Master Bedroom and Kitchen) down the East side of the apartment. To the rear of the apartment more light enters via the second bedroom and the master bathroom.
There is a second shower room and a toilet opposite the master bathroom.
Wet clothes are a nightmare. Solution is easy. In front door. Down one flight stairs or lift and leave in laundry room on racks to dry. No one else ever seems to do it other than us. Then out the two doors and up 2 floors to apartment door (in lift of course) . Going to and from apartment to laundry is so so easy and often much quicker than a 2 / 3 story house. With the sauna, laundry, table tennis room, ski-locker and cave its like having 40m2 more "useful" living space. Very few apartments in Verbier have this esp the newer ones as floor space is such a premium for the newer ones. Remember we have re-furbed to a ***** standard.
The Jumbo In-Ground 5.000 litre waste bins are 5 seconds across road and so please take rubbish out daily and don't leave outside apartment.
When making your decision where to stay this coming season please, please bear in mind what a difference a triple aspect apartment makes - views and windows/door on three sides of the apartment and balconies on East and South aspects. I can't emphasise enough what a difference it makes for the main living space to have light coming in (and views) from the LHS and the front of the apartment (see the images). You immediately have the impression (illusion?) of a small Chalet and not an apartment with this aspect and light.
And for those of you that think Verbier (CHF) is expensive - think again: Beers in the Pub (Mont Fort - 2 mins walk away) are half price in happy hour and just CHF 7 in peak. U can buy 24 really great Gralsberg (yes with a G at 5.2%) beers for about CHF 11 in Denner. Set back next to the Farm. They also do cuts of meat sometimes near half of Migros. Beers in the mountains are just CHF 8 and in the Carlsberg (new in Mountain below Atelas) a Stein is just CHF 13.
Verbier is not cheap - but it need not be expensive either - if you shop carefully, look at the Ski- Club Pass System, be careful what restaurants you eat in, Verbier is great place to be - it has all the charm of a small Village - but is a giant resort as far as the skiing is concern - don’t any one tell you that the resort is for advanced skiers only , it's not - it is suitable for all levels , young and old.. Have fun!
