Escape to this cheerful, comfortable cottage in the mountains where you can kick back and relax in a tranquil setting, with the sound of the Neversink River providing the background music. Curl up with a book by the fire; fish for trout right outside the door (or on the Willowemoc or Beaverkill nearby); cycle to the Country Store for your morning bagels; hit the slopes at Hunter Mt., about 50 mins away; head to any of NY State's local hiking trails; make s'mores and tell tall tales by the bonfire pit; enjoy evening cocktails on the deck and watch the hummingbirds dart between the quince and honeysuckle; write the Great American Novel; cross-country ski on 20 miles of mapped trails at nearby Frost Valley YMCA; or take a drive along lazy country roads and revel in the autumnal splendor. This cozy, recently renovated hideaway is used regularly by its owner and, as such, offers a warm welcome with tasteful decoration and the comforts of home. Ideal for two couples or a small family.

Nearest Motorway: Rte 17, exit 100A at 12 Miles
Car: necessary
2 hrs from the George Washington Bridge, 20 minutes from the Liberty exit (100A) on rte 17 West. Wonderful antiquing for country antiques nearby, and fantastic outdoors facility 10 miles from the cottage at the Frost Valley YMCA (x-country skiing, horseback riding, archery, fishing, and all sorts of classes available.) Just driving around this unspoiled area is a pleasure.

Notes: Since the owner uses this house regularly, most of the necessities are provided, including thick towels and nice bed linen. There is no TV, and we quite like it that way. There are iPod speakers there. Smoking outside only, please. The Cottage is 30 mins from the new Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, and 20 mins from golf at Grossinger's. The New Age Health Spa is 7 mins away, and offers luxurious treatments like massage and reflexology, and a variety of activities like yoga and meditation classes.

We had a really great weekend getaway in Claryville,..the hiking was excellent,quiet trails, beautiful forest..the peekamoose restaurant was a great return to civilation in the evening,.can't wait to go back! Thanks Tom

The Cottage is a great weekend escape or vacation
spot. It is really charming and has everything you
need to just slip right into relaxing. Our little boy
loved the open space and it was safe for him to run
around. It was easily accessible from the city but far
away enough to feel like a real vacation. Highly
recommended for familes or even for a romantic
get away.

We loved this cottage and its location. If you want
to hike, this location is ideal. If you want to relax by
the Neversink River, it is also ideal. The place is
really cute and comfortable, and the fireplace is
perfect. The kitchen is great. Whoever renovated
this place did a great job. I highly recommend it!

Our little family- my husband and I as well as our 3
year old stayed at this charming cottage this past
weekend. The cottage was the perfect escape for us
city dwellers- the opitome of tranquilty and peace.
We spent the weekend roasting marshmallows,
tending to the fireplace and gazing at dear. The
cottage itself is the most adorable little place. It is
small but spacious and is decorated with such
detail and thought. It felt like home-
We look forward to returning to this little jewel!

Lovely, peaceful and airy, the cottage was a wonderful retreat from the city. The location is convenient to many scenic areas (including the river just outside the back door) and an easy drive from the city. Our whole family had a wonderful and relaxing week at the cottage. We hope to return soon!
