2 bedroom, sleeps 4-6, 2 stars, in a charming central location

A 2 bedroom split level well equipped apartment (first & second floor) within a small apartment complex, set in the heart of the beautiful village of Le Praz, Courchevel in very close proximity to the village’s amenities & a 5-7 mins walk to the Gondolas. With underground parking. The apartment will sleep 4 – 5 comfortably and can accommodate up to 6.

Upstairs; a comfortable master bedroom with double bed & large wardrobe. The second bedroom has a single bed & a double futon (& plenty of shelves).

Downstairs is open plan living / dining area (comfortable 3 person sofa & chairs) with kitchenette plus bathroom & separate (second) WC:

The living area has ample seating to relax - There is a new 32inch TV with both UK & French channels (a USB port) and there is also a DVD player (note; no DVD's are supplied).

The dining table will easily seat 6.The Kitchenette has all the essentials (combi oven, toaster, fridge, coffee maker, including a dishwasher etc).

The bathroom has a bath / shower, WC plus basin. With a separate WC.

There is secure underground parking in the basement below the apartment. A ski locker located in the building entrance, therefore no need to carry skis up any steps after a day’s skiing. A balcony. This apartment has been viewed by the tourist board and has a 2 Star rating.

Le Praz is a very pretty French village with people in residence all year round, so has a non-tourist feel, however is very lively apres ski due to the multitude of bars & restaurants tucked away in its little streets. The apartment block in in the centre of Le Praz with all key amenities on its doorstep – under the apartment block (joined by an undercover walkway) is a sports bar (serving good affordable burgers & steak etc), laundrette, dry cleaners, patisserie, newsagents, fine restaurant, boucherie (selling a wide variety of local Savoir produce) & a ski hire shop. Within a few min walk there are numerous other bars & restaurants & small supermarket. There are various other shops including several ski hire shops.

Bed linen & towels are not supplied. They can be supplied on request (additional cost). Other services can also be supplied by the lady who looks after the apartment. She will be in contact prior to your arrival to ensure she can meet any additional needs plus arrange the handover of keys – there is a small charge for this service. NOTE: She will ask for a returnable damage deposit (usual practice), however we will NOT ask for you to pay for French tourist taxes.

Why David Evans chose Courchevel 1300 - Le Praz

We wanted to buy a holiday home in Courchevel as we love this part of the Alps & want our children to be able to ski in the winter & mountain bike in the summer. We looked at many properties in the area however couldn't find what we were after (we found many of the resorts ugly & too touristy). We were then shown this apartment in what we thought the prettiest village in the area & all of us instantly fell in love with it & said we would buy it there and then. And we did.

What makes this apartment unique

The village has Olympic Ski jumps - the boys love watching ski jumping, the village is delightful & the locals (both French & British) are very friendly & helpful. It is also very accessible by road. We loved the 2 floors, so we can relax downstairs after the children have gone to bed. The underground parking is also essential as we did not want our car to be snowed in. Everything you need is very close by. It is just as beautiful in the Summer too, so why not come back & walk / mountain bike once the snow has gone & the weather is glorious.

Le Praz is has easy access by road and is an exceptionally beautiful local village, with no big concrete apartment block. The apartment is a level (i.e. no steps or hills) 5 - 7 min walk through the village to the bubble lifts which takes 7 min to reach Courchevel 1850.

Le Praz is a lively yet small village with several excellent bars & restaurants, amenities on the doorstep include ski hire, a small supermarket, launderette, butchers, and bakers. Plus only a short free bus ride to the other Courchevel villages & their winter activities.
