SPACIOUS CONDO NEAR OCEAN, BEACHES AND RESORTS. PAYPAL ACCEPTED

The condo was very welcoming, quiet, well maintained and clean. A great equipped kitchen. Doc and Joann are very friendly people and live up to what they say. I loved the terrace and we used the grill a couple of times. We had a wonderful stay as the condo is only a couple of minutes walk from Coral Beach. The bar @ Coral Beach serves great food and is lively as well. The marina is about a 20 minutes walk. We did rent a car as we did want to explore the island a bit, and it is easier to get groceries. We went to try the best conch salad on the island at Tony Macaroni, and visited a beautiful national Park. The locals are extremely friendly. Only we found Port Lucaya very touristy and I was glad to be there off season. We had a great stay and I hope to come back to the condo somewhere in September this year.

Once again I would like to say a sincere "THANK YOU" for the hearty welcome you prepared for us when meeting you in Fort Lauderdale.

We found everything well prepared, when we arrived at your place at Alamanda Court in Lucaya. It is a great advantage to have everything on hand for a delicious breakfast when you arrive on a Sunday and you do not know yet, what you can buy at which place. Your appartment is a very pleasant place to live when spending your vacations on the Bahamas. It is spacious, bright, clean and equipped with everything that makes your stay convenient.

The location is quiet and allows to walk to the beach within a few minutes. The beach is marvellous. Many kilometres of white powdery sand. It is hard to find something comparable outside the Bahamas. Nevertheless you must not share this idyllic place here with many people.

So we are very much inclined to come back to Alamanda Court soon.

noch einmal herzlichen Dank für den freundlichen Empfang, den Ihr uns in Fort Lauderdale bereitet habt. Alles war gut vorbereitet als wir bei Euch in Alamanda Court ankamen. Es ist sicher ein großer Vorteil, wenn man alles für ein leckeres Fruehstueck zur Hand hat, wenn man an einem Sonntag ankommt und noch nicht weisss, wo man was einkaufen kann. Euer Appartment ist schon ein schoener Ort, wo man wohnen kann wenn man seine Ferien auf den Bahamas verbringt. Es ist gerauemig, hell, sauber und mit allem ausgeruestet, was einem den Aufenthalt bequem machen kann. Der Ort ist ruhig und nur wenige Gehminuten vom Strand entfernt. Der Strand ist grossartig. Viele Kilometer pudriger weisser Sand.So etwas findet man ausserhalb der Bahamas selten. Trotzdem ist der Strand alles andere als ueberlaufen. Man muss sich diese Idylle mit kaum jemandem teilen. Wir ueberlegen uns ernsthaft, bald wieder nach Alamanda Court zu kommen.

Over our Christmas break, the 4 of all have a great time at this condo. Bedrooms all on second floor allowed for varying bedtime schedules while others stayed up to talk and read or used a computer downstairs. The outdoor patio allowed for a quiet place to take coffee and breakfast in the sunshine each morning. The pool is steps away.
We had a small rental caar for the week, and drove to both ends of Grand Bahama on seperate days. Also made it to Lucaya National Park and Gold Rock Beach. That beach is your postcard perfect Bahaiman beach, but yes, do go at low tides. We stayed for 4-5 hours and witnessed dramatic changes. Very cool. Weather was awesome while we were in Freeprt. Evening walks nightly to witness the setting sun at the beach that takes, perhaps 5-7 minutes to walk to from this condo. We did not get to the International Bazaar, but we did make it to Paradise Cove to snorkel. We did this on our own, not via a tour or expedition. Much cheaper this way, but, of course, you would need your own rental car to make the drive there. We grocery shopped for much of our stay. Stores are conveinent to this condo. Did ventured up to Port Lucaya to dine out a few times. It was pretty quiet. (tourist wise) Doc and Joann have the kitchen outfitted with anything you could think of in the pots, pans, etc. dept., as well as utensils. Loved the location, would definitely stay here again if we make it back to Freeport.
