Our family just returned for our vacation.
The house is gorgeous and the lake is beautiful and quiet!
My kids were outside from morning until night - swimming in the lake (which was a non-motorized lake - quiet & safe ), they kayaked, paddleboat & canoe were included, and fishing was fun!
Our family usually goes to the shore which we also love but the weather was better in the Poconos. Nobody complained of being too hot and sticky from the sand! There was always a breeze and we had shade while sitting on the dock under a shady willow tree....

The description is extremely misleading. There are only 3 actual bedrooms and one is in the basement. There are other rooms that sleep people on futons, etc. but they are not actual bedrooms and should not be listed as such. Also, since one of the "bedrooms" is actually a sitting room on the second floor where the big screen TV is and was used to sleep in by two members of our party, it was necessary for the rest of us to sit on uncomfortable chairs in the breakfast area to watch the only other TV in the house. In addition, the owners had so many personal belongings in the house that we had very few drawers, closets and shelves to put the things we had brought. Many of the 12 of us lived out of suitcases for the week because of this and we had to put our food supplies on counters or wherever we found space. I would not recommend this property to anyone and will do much more research when renting another property for a vacation so that I am sure that I am getting what I expect to get.
Owner's Response: We are sorry to hear that this family did not enjoy their stay but I do want to address several inaccuracies in this review. We actually do have 5 bedrooms with two in the basement and three upstairs. We rent to lots of families with kids that enjoy staying in the room with the large screened TV with the futon and daybed. It's a very large home with ample closets, shelves and dressers for personal belongings in each bedroom, and a pantry with several cupboards in the kitchen with new refrigerator and extra freezer. We have reupholstered the chairs in the breakfast room so they are now much more comfortable. And we have three TV's -- especially nice for large groups! We have never received a single negative report and in fact have always received glowing emails and notes from the families that we rent to.
