We chose this rental property based on its quiet location, space, and description of being a luxury accommodation. We found the amenities to be as described, the neighbourhood was very quiet,and the unit was fairly well cleaned and maintained.
The Master bath was fine, but the second bathroom is in desperate need of upgrading. The lock on the security gate did not secure the gate, and there were stains on the upholstered chairs in the eating area. The kitchen, while been fully equipped, could use a more detailed cleaning. The pool and area needed attention (the owner responded quickly to our request). We, as well, found the absence of a telephone to be an inconvenience.
Nice place, but not for the traveller seeking "luxury" accommodation.
Owner's Response: We appreciate reviews as they assist us in keeping our property at its maximum best. In response to this guest’s review, we would like to take this opportunity to clarify some points made by this particular guest. The home is a mid century modern and the second bathroom has the original tile work that is in pristine condition, the vanity is new, as well as the fixtures. This bathroom is the only original component to the mid century style as they rest of the house has been updated. We wanted to keep some sense originality, with enhancements for the comforts of today. The security gate the guest mentioned is the gate to the fence, which is the only entrance to the private yard which encloses the entire perimeter of the property. The lock on the gate is purposely kept unlocked so that our maintenance crews or emergency services have access to the yard in case the guests are not home. The upholstered dining room chairs have been reupholstered, unfortunately the prior guests had children who sat on the chairs in wet swim suits and stained the upholstery on the seats. New seats were being made while these guests stayed with us.
These guests stayed for 7 nights and on the last day of their visit, they emailed us to say there were some leaves in the bottom of the pool, when I returned there email they confirmed that the pool service had been by as scheduled to clean the pool. The pool is serviced weekly and we have an automatic pool sweeper installed in the pool to help in maintaining the pool between services. This guest opted to remove the pool sweeper from the pool, however complained about leaves in the pool. Our property is equipped with high speed internet access and an emergency only telephone, as the majority of our guests come with their own cell phones. This home comes equipped with a fully stocked kitchen w/ professional cookware, high end mattresses, 350 count 100% cotton sheets, 100% cotton towels, a flat screen TV as well as 3 additional TV’s. The home is furnished with Ethan Allen and other better quality furniture has a heated pool and a very private lushly tropical landscaped yard. The other interesting point is this guest rated the property a 4 out of 5 on the review scale which is very good and we appreciate that.
